Jesse Mustonen

	Jesse Mustonen Jesse Mustonen (24 November 1995) is a Finnish motorcycle speedway rider. Career Mustonen started his career mainly as a longtrack rider and he reached the final of the 2014 Team Long Track World Championship, where Finland finished fourth just outside the medal placings. He continued to represent Finland and won a bronze medal the following year at the 2015 Team Long Track World Championship and despite top scoring for Finland in 2016 and 2017 they were placed outside the medals. In the Individual Speedway Long Track World Championship he reached the final five years running from 2016 to 2020 and managed a best place finish of 8th. He represented Finland at the 2019 Speedway of Nations and again at the 2022 Speedway of Nations. Also in 2022, he became the national champion of Finland after winning the Finnish Individual Speedway Championship. 	2023 Speedway World Cup The 2023 FIM Speedway World Cup (SWC) was the 18th Speedway World Cup, an international motorcycle speedway world championship tournament organised by the FIM. The 2023 edition was the first since 2017 and took place between 25 July and 29 July 2023 and involved nine national teams. Poland successfully defended their 2017 title defeating Great Britain after a last heat decider. Great Britain trailed Poland by one point going into the final heat and Robert Lambert (who had only dropped one point all night) was positioned in second place with Maciej Janowski in fourth, which meant that Great Britain would take the title. However, Janowski moved into third place, which would send the final into a run-off, but the Pole overtook Lambert on the last lap to claim victory for Poland. 	2019 Speedway Of Nations The 2019 Speedway of Nations was the second FIM Speedway of Nations. The competition consisted of two race-off events and a two-legged final. The event was won by Russia for the second consecutive year. They beat Poland in the Grand Final with Australia taking the bronze medal. Format The 2019 Speedway of Nations was a pairs event, with each nation being represented by two senior riders and one rider under the age of 21. Each meeting was staged over 21 heats with the scores from each rider added together to give a total for each nation.
