Jesse McGregor
Jesse McGregor is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera '' Home and Away'', played by actor Ben Unwin. He made his first screen appearance during the episode broadcast on 20 May 1996. The actor departed in 2000, but returned in 2002 and departed once again on 26 July 2005. Casting Unwin originally auditioned for a separate role in the show but was unsuccessful. Producers decided to create the role of Jesse specifically for Unwin to portray. Jesse's original stint in the series lasted from 1996 until 2000, when the character was written out of the show following Jesse being sent to prison for burning down the local bait shop. Ben Unwin
Ben Denis Unwin (15 August 1977 – 14 August 2019) was an Australian actor and music video director, best known for portraying Jesse McGregor on the television soap opera ''Home and Away'' from 1996 until 2000, and again from 2002 to 2005. For his portrayal of Jesse, Unwin in 1997 was nominated for the Logie Award for Most Popular New Talent. and for a British National Television Award for Most Popular Newcomer. Unwin, as a music video director, directed clips for Boy George and Culture Club. After Home and Away, Unwin completed a law degree and worked as a senior solicitor in Sydney and then in Newcastle. Ada Nicodemou (Greek: Άντα Νικοδήμου) (born 14 May 1977) is an Australian actress of Greek Cypriot descent . She began her acting career in 1994 in TV serial ''Heartbreak High'' as Katerina Ioannou. Alfred James "Alf" Stewart is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera ''Home and Away'', played by Ray Meagher. Alf was created as one of the show's eighteen original characters.
