Jesse Landrum
Jesse Glenn Landrum (July 31, 1912 – June 27, 1983) was an American professional baseball player who later became a longtime scout (sport), scout. He appeared in Major League Baseball as a second baseman in four games played, games for the Chicago White Sox during the early weeks of the season, but played in 1,521 games in the minor leagues between 1937 and 1953. Landrum later became a player-manager in the minors in the late 1940s, and then forged a long career as a scout for three major-league organizations. He died at age 70 in Beaumont, Texas, in 1983.
