Jesko Friedrich
Jesko Friedrich (born 2 April 1974 in Gießen) is a German comedy television actor and writer. Early life and career Friedrich grew up in Lübeck and has a doctorate in German studies at the Georg-August-Universität in Göttingen. Friedrich started writing jokes for the show ''Freitag Nacht News'' ("Friday Night News"). Since 2001, Friedrich worked at the Norddeutscher Rundfunk, mostly as a writer, producer, and actor for the satire show ''Extra 3'', and for other comedy shows. Beginning in 2003, together with Dennis Kaupp, he developed the recurring show segment ''Johannes Schlüter''. Friedrich plays the role of Johannes Schlüter, a character who works absurd jobs in every episode (for example as speaker on women's rights for the Christian Social Union of Bavaria, bush pilot, or peddler of flags ready to be burned by protesters), and is interviewed by Kaupp. The segment was awarded the Adolf Grimme Award in 2009. Gießen
Giessen, spelled Gießen in German (), is a town in the German state (''Bundesland'') of Hesse, capital of both the district of Giessen and the administrative region of Giessen. The population is approximately 90,000, with roughly 37,000 university students. The name comes from ''Giezzen'', as it was first referred to in 1197, which refers to the position of the town between several rivers, lakes and streams. Travemünde () is a borough of Lübeck, Germany, located at the mouth of the river Trave in Lübeck Bay. It began life as a fortress built by Henry the Lion, Duke of Saxony, in the 12th century to guard the mouth of the Trave, and the Danes subsequently strengthened it. It became a town in 1317 and in 1329 passed into the possession of the free city of Lübeck, to which it has since belonged. Its fortifications were demolished in 1807.
