''Jersey Gods'' is a comic book published by Image Comics. It was written by Glen Brunswick, pencilled and inked by Dan McDaid, with colors by Rachelle Rosenberg. The covers were drawn by Mike Allred and coloured by Laura Allred. Alternative covers were also provided by Dan McDaid, Darwyn Cooke, Paul Pope and Whilce Porticio. Comic Book
A comic book, also called comicbook, comic magazine or (in the United Kingdom and Ireland) simply comic, is a publication that consists of comics art in the form of sequential juxtaposed panels that represent individual scenes. Panels are often accompanied by descriptive prose and written narrative, usually, dialogue contained in word balloons emblematic of the comics art form. "Comic Cuts" was a British comic published from 1890 to 1953. It was preceded by "Ally Sloper's Half Holiday" (1884) which is notable for its use of sequential cartoons to unfold narrative. Image Comics
Image Comics is an American comic book publisher and is the third largest comic book and graphic novel publisher in the industry in both unit and market share. It was founded in 1992 by several high-profile illustrators as a venue for creator-owned properties, in which comics creators could publish material of their own creation without giving up the copyrights to those properties. Normally this isn't the case in the work for hire-dominated American comics industry, where the legal author is a publisher, such as Marvel Comics or DC Comics, and the creator is an employee of that publisher. Dan McDaid
Dan McDaid () is a British comic book writer and artist. Career McDaid made his debut in '' Doctor Who Magazine'', after sending a sample strip to then editor Clayton Hickman. His debut work for DWM was as writer of ''The First'', a story where the Doctor meets Ernest Shackleton. He took part in Comic Book Resources' Comic Book Idol 2007, reaching the final three. He then teamed up with Glen Brunswick for a twelve-issue run on ''Jersey Gods'' for Image Comics. While the television series '' Doctor Who'' was off-air, McDaid wrote the 10th Doctor's continuing adventures, published in DWM, then collected in ''The Crimson Hand''. Mike Allred
Michael Dalton Allred is an American comic book artist and writer most famous for his independent comics creations, ''Madman'' and ''iZombie''. His style is often compared to pop art, as well as commercial and comic art of the 1950s and 1960s. Early life Allred was raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Upon his parents' divorce, he was raised with his father in Oregon, while his brothers and mother moved to Utah. He considers himself a Mormon, though a liberal-leaning one, and has stated that he still identifies with the beliefs, and considers the Book of Mormon to be a phenomenal and fascinating story, irrespective of its factual accuracy. Darwyn Cooke
Darwyn Cooke (November 16, 1962 – May 14, 2016) was a Canadian comics artist, writer, cartoonist, and animator who worked on the comic books ''Catwoman'', '' DC: The New Frontier'', ''The Spirit'' and '' Richard Stark's Parker: The Hunter''. His work has been honoured with numerous Eisner, Harvey, and Joe Shuster Awards. Early life Darwyn Cooke was born in Toronto on November 16, 1962. Cooke's father was a construction worker and later ran a union. Cooke's interest in creating comics began after watching ''Batman'' starring Adam West. Paul Pope (born September 25, 1970, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American alternative cartoonist. ''Popgun'' is a comics anthology series created by Mark Andrew Smith and Joe Keatinge. It was published by American company Image Comics in four volumes, between 2007 and 2010. The driving concept behind ''Popgun'' was a mixtape of graphic short stories that cross the borders of all genres. No theme was given to contributors and instead emphasis is placed on diversity of content and the mixing/track order of each volume.
