Jerry Slocum (basketball)
Jerry Slocum (born January 12, 1952) is an American college basketball coach and former head men's basketball coach at Youngstown State University. He graduated from The King's College in Briarcliff Manor, New York in 1975. On March 7, 2017, Slocum announced he was retiring as head coach at Youngstown State. He had a record of 142–232 in 12 years at the school. The King's College (New York)
The King's College (TKC or simply King's) is a private non-denominational Christian liberal arts college in New York City. The predecessor institution was founded in 1938 in Belmar, New Jersey, by Percy Crawford. The King's College draws more than 500 students from 37 states and 15 countries. History Percy B. 2004 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2004 NCAA Division II men's basketball tournament was the 48th annual single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division II college basketball in the United States. Officially culminating the 2003–04 NCAA Division II men's basketball season, the tournament featured sixty-four teams from around the country. The Elite Eight, national semifinals, and championship were played at the Centennial Garden in Bakersfield, California, previously the venue of the 2001 finals. The 2012–13 Youngstown State Penguins men's basketball team represented Youngstown State University during the 2012–13 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Penguins, led by eighth year head coach Jerry Slocum, played their home games at the Beeghly Center and were members of the Horizon League.
