Sheffield Wednesday F
Sheffield is a city in South Yorkshire, England, whose name derives from the River Sheaf which runs through it. The city serves as the administrative centre of the City of Sheffield. It is historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire and some of its southern suburbs were transferred from Derbyshire to the city council. It is the largest settlement in South Yorkshire. The city is in the eastern foothills of the Pennines and the valleys of the River Don with its four tributaries: the Loxley, the Porter Brook, the Rivelin and the Sheaf. Sixty-one per cent of Sheffield's entire area is green space and a third of the city lies within the Peak District national park. ''Seven Brides for Seven Brothers'' is a musical with a book by Lawrence Kasha and David Landay, music by Gene de Paul, Al Kasha and Joel Hirschhorn, and lyrics by Johnny Mercer, Al Kasha and Joel Hirschhorn. It is based on the 1954 Stanley Donen film of the same name which is, itself, an adaption of the short story "The Sobbin' Women," by Stephen Vincent Benét, based on the Ancient Roman legend of ''The Rape of the Sabine Women''. The show's 1978–79 premiere tour was canceled without reaching Broadway: after touring for eighteen months from 1981 a subsequent production opened on Broadway in July 1982 to close three days and five performances after its official opening. In 1985 a West End production had a six-week limited engagement run, with a further five and a half week West End run at The Prince of Wales Theatre. Harrison, Arkansas
Harrison is a city and the county seat of Boone County, Arkansas, United States. It is named after General Marcus LaRue Harrison, a surveyor who laid out the city along Crooked Creek at Stifler Springs. According to 2019 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city was 13,069, up from 12,943 at the 2010 census and it is the 30th largest city in Arkansas based on official 2019 estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau. Harrison is the principal city of the Harrison Micropolitan Statistical Area, which includes all of Boone and Newton counties. The community has a history of racism: there were two race riots in the early 20th century and an influx of white supremacist organizations during the late 20th and early 21st centuries. ''The Wicked Lady'' is a 1945 British costume drama film directed by Leslie Arliss and starring Margaret Lockwood in the title role as a nobleman's wife who becomes a highwayman for the excitement. The film had one of the top audiences for a film of its period, 18.4 million. It was one of the Gainsborough melodramas, a sequence of very popular films made during the 1940s. In 2020, ''Filmink'' magazine said "if you only see one Gainsborough melodrama, this is the one to check out." David Firth (animator)
David Firth (born 1982 or 1983) is an English animator and filmmaker. He created the Newgrounds animated web series ''Salad Fingers'' in 2004 and co-wrote the 2017 live-action feature film ''Kuso''. Early life Firth was born in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. His mother, Rosemary Firth, is an artist. He began creating stop-motion animation when he was 13 years old, using Lego and other toys. He studied animation at the Hull campus of the University of Lincoln and further studied television and film. Career In July 2004, Firth created the animated web series ''Salad Fingers'', which was released on Newgrounds. The series was created using Adobe Flash, and Firth became a notable figure in the medium of Flash animation. ''The Wicked Lady'' is the soundtrack to the 1983 remake of The Wicked Lady (1983 film), the film of the same title. It was composed by Genesis (band), Genesis keyboardist Tony Banks (musician), Tony Banks. The first side of the LP features Tony Banks (musician), Banks performing solo versions of themes from the soundtrack. The second side of the LP is the actual soundtrack performed by the National Philharmonic Orchestra. For many years this had been the only entire solo LP by a Genesis member never to have been released on CD. However, a CD version was released on April 15, 2013. Reception In their retrospective review, AllMusic favorably compared the Banks solo half of the album to the instrumentals from ''A Curious Feeling''. They praised the second half for being "more complex and dramatic", but admitted that it would be of little interest to most Genesis fans.
