Jeroni Fajardo
Jeroni Fajardo (born 5 April 1985), is a Spanish International motorcycle trials rider. Fajardo was the 2002 FIM European Trials champion and member of the winning Spanish TDN team in 2004 and 2006 through 2015. Biography Fajardo made his international debut in the FIM European Championship in 2002, winning the title after victories in Italy, Norway and Poland. He also made his FIM Trial World Championship debut the same year, and by 2004 he was included in the Spanish TDN winning team, the world's top Trial De Nations team alongside Albert Cabestany, Max Freixa and Adam Raga. In the Spanish Championships Fajardo started making a name for himself, winning round 6 held in Vellameca, his first national win. In 2008 he finished 4th in the world championships, a feat repeated in 2009 along with Fajardo's first World win in Andorra. Motorcycle Trial
Motorcycle trials, also known as observed trials, often called simply trial/s (with or without the plural "s"), is a non-speed event on specialized motorcycles. The sport is most popular in the United Kingdom and Spain, though there are participants around the globe. Modern trials motorcycles are distinctive in that they have evolved to become extremely lightweight, lack seating (they are designed to be ridden standing up) and have suspension travel that is short, relative to a motocross or enduro motorcycle. FIM Trial European Championship
The FIM Trials European Championship is organised by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme and has been held since 1992. The championship gives up and coming riders a chance to compete at international level against top class riders, many who have progressed to become champions in the FIM Trial World Championship such as current champion Toni Bou and past champions Dougie Lampkin and Adam Raga History The Inaugural championship was held in 1992 with a single class format. FIM Trial World Championship
The FIM Trial World Championship and FIM X-Trial World Championship are the most prestigious motorcycle trials tournaments of the world, organised by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme. The outdoor championship is held since 1964 and the indoor (X-Trial) since 1993. From 1964 to 1967 the championship was named Challenge Henry Groutards. From 1968 to 1974, it was the Trial European Championship, and from 1975 onwards it has been known as the World Championship. Up until 2010, the outdoor world trial championship has been won by 6 different pilots from the UK, 5 from Spain, 2 from Finland and France, and 1 from Belgium, Germany, United States, Japan and Sweden. Albert Cabestany
Albert Cabestany (born 26 June 1980 in Tarragona, Spain), is an International motorcycle trials rider. He was Spanish Outdoor Trials Champion in 2002, and Indoor Champion in 2002, 2003 and 2006. Biography Cabestany competed in his first international competition in 1997 at the age of 16, riding his Beta in the Portuguese round of the FIM Trial European Championship and finishing in 8th place. At the second round in Spain he narrowly missed the podium with a 4th-place finish. After competing for the full season he ended the year 7th in the standings. He also rode in the Spanish round of the FIM Trial World Championship scoring 2 points for a 14th-place finish. In 2002 Cabestany took the Spanish Championship Title after a season long battle with Adam Raga. Toni Bou
Antoni Bou i Mena () (born 17 October 1986) is a Spanish professional motorcycle trials rider. He has been the sole outdoor and indoor FIM Trial World Championship champion from 2007 to 2022. With these 32 world titles (16 outdoor and 16 indoor), he is the most successful rider in history, surpassing Dougie Lampkin (7 outdoor and 5 indoor) and Jordi Tarrés who is third with 7 outdoor titles. At the age of 20 years and 5 months, Bou was the second youngest rider ever to win the World Indoor Title, and the youngest to do it on a 4-stroke motorbike. Gas Gas
Gas Gas is a Spanish motorcycle manufacturer established in 1985 by Narcìs Casas and Josep Pibernat in Salt, Girona. The company specializes in off-road motorcycles for trials and enduro competitions. Gas Gas was purchased by KTM motorcycles in 2019. After the sale to KTM, Gas Gas's off-road models were purchased by Spanish motorcycle manufacturer Rieju. Company history In 1973, Narcìs Casas and Josep Pibernat began operating a Bultaco motorcycle franchise in Salt. With the financial demise of the Bultaco factory in 1979, Casas and Pibernat began importing Italian SWM motorcycles until 1984 when, the manufacturer ceased operations. Ossa (motorcycle)
Ossa was a Spanish motorcycle manufacturer which was active from 1924 to 1982 and from 2010 to 2015. Founded by Manuel Giró, an industrialist from Barcelona, Ossa was best known for lightweight, two-stroke-engined bikes used in observed trials, motocross and enduro. The company was known originally as ''Orpheo Sincronic Sociedad Anónima (O.S.S.A.)'' and was later renamed ''Maquinaria Cinematográfica, S.A.''.
