Jerome Dyson
Jerome Clifton Dyson (born May 1, 1987) is an American professional basketball player, who lastly played for Spójnia Stargard. He played college basketball with the Connecticut Huskies before playing professionally in the NBA with the New Orleans Hornets, he has also played overseas in Italy, Israel and China. He was the 2012–13 top scorer in the Israel Basketball Premier League. He was also the 2017 Israeli Basketball Premier League Finals MVP. Early life and college Dyson grew up in Potomac, Maryland's Scotland neighborhood. He attended Winston Churchill High School in Potomac for his first two years of high school before transferring to Proctor Academy in Andover, New Hampshire for his final two years. While at Proctor, Dyson matured and was recruited to play basketball with the University of Connecticut Huskies under coach Jim Calhoun. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Spójnia Stargard, also known as shortly Spójnia, is a professional Polish basketball team based in Stargard, Poland, currently playing in the Polish Basketball League (PLK), the highest tier in Polish basketball. In 2018, they gained promotion from the I Liga. Spójnia hosts its games at the Hala Miejska. History In May 2018, Spójnia promoted to the PLK after winning the I Liga championship as the team beat Sokół Łańcut 3–0 in the playoff finals. The Italian Basketball Cup (Italian: Coppa Italiana di Pallacanestro), or Coppa Italia, is an annual professional basketball competition between pro clubs from the Italian Basketball League (LBA). It is Italy's first-tier cup competition, and is not to be confused with Italy's second-tier cup competition, the Italian Legadue Cup. The 2014–15 Lega Basket Serie A was the 93rd season of the Lega Basket Serie A, the highest professional basketball league in Italy. The regular season started on 12 October 2014 and finished on 10 May 2015, after all teams had played 30 games each. The Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) is a professional men's club basketball league that has been organised in Italy since 1920.
