Jerome Arthur Pechillo
Jerome Arthur Pechillo, T.O.R. (May 16, 1919 – January 1, 1991) was an American missionary and bishop of the Catholic Church. He served as the Prelate of Coronel Oviedo in Paraguay from 1961 to 1976, and auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Newark from 1976 to 1991. Biography Born in Brooklyn, New York, Pechillo was ordained a priest for the Third Order Regular of St. Francis of Penance on June 10, 1941. He was named the Prelate of Coronel Oviedo, Paraguay on September 10, 1961. Pechillo attended three of the four sessions of the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965). While remaining prelate of Coronel Oviedo, Pope Paul VI appointed him as the Titular Bishop of ''Nova Sparsa'' on October 20, 1965. He was consecrated by Bishop Joseph McCormick of Altoona-Johnstown on January 25, 1966. Anthony John King Mussio
Anthony John King Mussio (June 13, 1902 – April 15, 1978) was an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as the first bishop of the Diocese of Steubenville in Ohio from 1945 to 1977. Biography Early life John Mussio was born on June 13, 1902, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to John Edward and Blanche (née King) Mussio. He attended Assumption Elementary School and St. Xavier High School, both in Cincinnati. He entered Xavier University in 1920, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1924. Mussio earned a Master of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame, then returned to Cincinnati to study at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Mussio taught English at Xavier University from 1925 to 1930 while also studying law at the University of Cincinnati. John Joseph Boardman
John Joseph Boardman (1893 - 1978) was an American prelate of the Latin Catholic Church, Roman Catholic Church who served as Auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Brooklyn, New York (state), New York, and Titular Bishop of Gunela. Biography Boardman was born on November 7, 1893, in Brooklyn and ordained a parish priest on May 21, 1921, aged 27. The Principal Consecrator was Archbishop Thomas Edmund Molloy, Thomas Molloy. On March 28, 1952, aged 58, he was appointed as Auxiliary Bishop of Brooklyn and Titular Bishop of Gunela. He received his episcopal consecration on June 11, 1952. In 1959, Bishop Boardman was sent from Holy Name Parish where he was pastor, and appointed as pastor of Our Lady of Angels in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. In October 1977 he retired as Auxiliary Bishop of Brooklyn and died on July 16, 1978, at the age of 84 as Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus. He was a priest for 57 years and a bishop for 26 years.
