Jeremy Moss
Jeremy Allen Moss (born June 23, 1986) is an American Democratic politician from Michigan currently representing the 7th State Senate District, which includes Farmington, Farmington Hills, Ferndale, Hazel Park, Huntington Woods, Lathrup Village, Madison Heights, Oak Park, Pleasant Ridge, Royal Oak Township, and Southfield. Prior to his election to the Michigan Senate, he served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2014 - 2018, and remains the youngest-ever member of the Southfield City Council. Personal life Moss was born on June 23, 1986 in Detroit and is a lifelong resident of Southfield, Michigan. Moss is Jewish. He attended Hillel Day School and graduated from Wylie E. Groves High School in the Birmingham Public School District. He graduated with high honors from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in journalism and an additional major in political science. Michigan Senate
The Michigan Senate is the upper house of the Michigan Legislature. Along with the Michigan House of Representatives, it composes the state legislature, which has powers, roles and duties defined by Article IV of the Michigan Constitution, adopted in 1963. The primary purpose of the Legislature is to enact new laws and amend or repeal existing laws. The Michigan Senate is composed of 38 members, each elected from a single-member district with a population of between approximately 212,400 to 263,500 residents. Legislative districts are drawn on the basis of population figures, provided by the federal decennial census. Senators' terms begin immediately upon their election. Hazel Park is a city in Oakland County, Michigan, Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As a part of Metro Detroit, the city shares its southern border with the city of Detroit.
