Jeremy Hayward
Jeremy Thomas Hayward (born 3 March 1993) is an Australian field hockey player. Hayward was part of the Australian team who won the 2014 Men's Hockey World Cup. The team defeated the Netherlands 6–1 in the final. Hayward was also awarded Young Player of the Tournament at this event. Hayward was selected in the Kookaburras Olympics squad for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The team reached the final for the first time since 2004 but couldn't achieve gold, beaten by Belgium in a shootout. 2014 Men's Hockey Champions Trophy
The 2014 Men's Hockey Champions Trophy was the 35th edition of the Hockey Champions Trophy men's field hockey tournament. It was held between in Bhubaneswar, India. From this year on the tournament began to be held biennially due to the introduction of the Hockey World League, returning to its original format changed in 1980. Germany won the tournament for the tenth time after defeating Pakistan 2–0 in the final. Australia won the third place match by defeating India 2–1. Kookaburras (hockey)
The Australia men's national field hockey team (nicknamed the Kookaburras) is one of the nation's most successful top-level sporting teams. They are the only Australian team in any sport to receive medals at six straight Summer Olympic Games (1992–2012). The Kookaburras placed in the top four in every Olympics between 1980 and 2012; in 2016, the Kookaburras placed sixth. They also won the Hockey World Cup in 1986, 2010 and 2014. 2016-17 Men's FIH Hockey World League Final
16-17 is a band from Basel, Switzerland. Their music combines punk rock, hardcore punk, jazz and industrial music. Biography 16-17 was founded in 1983 by Alex Buess, Knut Remond and Markus Kneubühler. When the group played its first concerts in 1983 it was received with controversial reactions: there where hardly any groups that played in an approximately similar style. Only some years later around 1986 groups like Painkiller, Last Exit or The Flying Luttenbachers appeared . They played a similar mix of rough noise, heavily amplified instruments and free jazz inspired improvisation. 1983 to 1994 the group did a lot of tours and played many gigs all over Europe, Japan and USA. The 2014–15 Men's FIH Hockey World League Final took place from 27 November to 6 December 2015 in Raipur, India. A total of 8 teams competed for the title. Australia won the tournament for the first time after defeating Belgium 2–1 in the final match. FIH Hockey World League
The Men's FIH Hockey World League was an international field hockey competition organised by the International Hockey Federation. The league also served as a qualifier for the 2014 and 2018 Men's Hockey World Cups and the 2016 Olympic Games. Three seasons were held in 2012–13, 2014–15 and 2016-17. It was replaced by the new Men's FIH Pro League and Hockey Series in 2018-19. Format The tournament featured four rounds. For each edition the FIH decides the number of events and teams for each round. The number of Round 1 events varied in each cycle depending on the number of participating national teams. Teams were grouped regionally, although European teams were split in several tournaments. The remaining rounds have teams selected with no regional restrictions. 2019 Men's FIH Pro League
The 2019 Men's FIH Pro League was the first season of the Pro League, the premier men's field hockey national team league series. The tournament started in January 2019 and finished in June 2019 in Amstelveen, Netherlands. Australia defeated Belgium 3–2 in the final to win the first FIH Pro League title. The competition also served as a qualifier for the 2020 Summer Olympics with the four best teams qualifying for the FIH Olympic Qualifiers taking place in October and November 2019. The Men's FIH Pro League is an international men's field hockey competition organised by the International Hockey Federation (FIH), which replaces the Men's FIH Hockey World League. The competition also serves as a qualifier for the Hockey World Cup and the Field hockey at the Summer Olympics, Olympic Games. The first edition started in 2019. Nine teams secured their places for four years.
