Jeremy Chappell
Jeremy Lamar Chappell (born June 10, 1987) is an American professional basketball player who last played for New Basket Brindisi of the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) and FIBA Basketball Champions League. He played college basketball at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. College career A 6'3" swingman from Cincinnati, Ohio, Chappell played college basketball at Robert Morris under coaches Mark Schmidt and Mike Rice. A four-year starter for the Colonials, Chappell led the team to a 24–11 overall record and both regular-season and tournament Northeast Conference (NEC) titles. Chappell emerged as one of the brightest stars in the NEC, averaging 16.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game on the year and was named the Northeast Conference Player of the Year at the close of the season. Mark Schmidt
Mark Schmidt (born February 12, 1963) is an American college basketball coach and the current men's basketball head coach at St. Bonaventure University. He took the job at the start of the 2007–08 season after holding the same position at Robert Morris University for six seasons (2001–2007), compiling a record of 82–90. Prior to becoming the head coach at Robert Morris, he served as an assistant coach at Xavier University under Skip Prosser from 1994 to 2001. During the 2008–09 season, he led St. Bonaventure to a 15–15 record, and an appearance in the Atlantic 10 postseason tournament, the school's first since 2005. Schmidt has led the Bonnies to Atlantic 10 Tournament Championships in 2012 and 2021 in addition to Atlantic 10 regular season championships in 2016 and 2021. Robert Morris University (RMU) is a private university in Moon Township, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1921 and is named after Robert Morris, known as the "financier of the mericanrevolution." The Basketball Champions League (BCL) is an annual professional basketball competition for European clubs, organised by FIBA. The Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) is a professional men's club basketball league that has been organised in Italy since 1920. The 2009 Northeast Conference men's basketball tournament was held on March 5, 8th, and 11th. The tournament featured the league's top eight seeds.
