Jerald Hawkins
Jerald Hawkins (born October 16, 1993) is an American football offensive tackle who is currently a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Louisiana State University. He was drafted by the Steelers in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He has also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Houston Texans, and has been a member of the New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints. Early years Hawkins attended West St. Mary High School in Baldwin, Louisiana. He played both offensive and defensive tackle. He committed to Louisiana State University (LSU) to play college football. College career Hawkins was a three-year starter at offensive tackle for LSU from 2013 to 2015. He started at right tackle his first two years before switching to left for his junior year. Jerald Monye Sowell (born January 21, 1974) is a former American football fullback. He played ten seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played college football at Tulane. Playing career He holds the record for the longest play in Tulane football history, breaking off a 98-yard run against the defending national champions Alabama in 1993. Although Tulane lost the game 31–17, Sowell recorded 138 rushing yards to become the first player to run for over 100 yards against Alabama since Florida's Errict Rhett in 1991. Sowell was drafted with the 30th pick in the 7th round in the 1997 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers.
