Jens Martin Knudsen (footballer)
Jens Martin Knudsen (born 11 June 1967) is a former Faroese footballer who played as a goalkeeper and a businessman. He was perhaps best known for wearing a hat in his matches as a result of an injury he suffered at age 14. He later become known as "the bobble hat goalkeeper". Club career Knudsen started his career as an amateur footballer for local team NSÍ Runavík. In 1992, he moved to GÍ Gøta to win a Faroese championship medal four times in a row between 1993 and 1996. After two seasons in Iceland with Leiftur he returned to the Faroe Islands and spent a short time on loan at Scottish team Ayr United before moving back to Leiftur for one more season. In 2001, he finally returned to his NSÍ again to become player/manager. He retired from playing football at the age of 40. Saltangará
Saltangará ( da, Saltangerå) is a village in the Faroe Islands, on the island of Eysturoy. Saltangará was founded in 1846 and is situated on the eastern side of Eysturoys Skalafjordur-inlet between Rituvík and Søldarfjørður. The name is derived from three words: ''angar'' comes from the Old Norse ''angr'' which means a fjord or bay; ''á'' means a stream; and ''salt'' has the same meaning in Faroese, Icelandic and English. Fantasy Football League
''Fantasy Football League'' is a British television comedy programme hosted by David Baddiel and Frank Skinner. It was inspired by the Fantasy Football phenomenon which started in the early 1990s and followed on from a BBC Radio 5 programme hosted by Dominik Diamond, although the radio and TV versions overlapped by several months. Three series were broadcast from 14 January 1994 to 10 May 1996 (followed by episodes during Euro 96). The show then moved to ITV for live specials on alternate nights throughout the 1998 World Cup and then again through Euro 2004. In May 2022 it was announced that a new series of the show had been commissioned to be broadcast on Sky Max with new hosts Elis James and Matt Lucas. According to Frank Skinner in 2010, the series would never return because it had been superseded by other programmes of a similar style. The Faroe Islands national handball team is the national handball team of Faroe Islands and is controlled by the Handball Federation of the Faroe Islands. In June 2015, Faroe Islands competed in the 2015 IHF Emerging Nations Championship, and won the championship. In June 2017, Faroe Islands competed in the 2017 IHF Emerging Nations Championship, and once again won the championship. Gymnastics is a type of sport that includes physical exercises requiring balance, strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, dedication and endurance. Petur Knudsen
Petur Knudsen (born 21 April 1998) is a Faroese professional footballer who plays as a forward for the Danish Superliga club Lyngby Boldklub and the Faroe Islands national team. Club career On 30 June 2021, Knudsen signed a two-year deal with newly relegated Danish 1st Division club Lyngby Boldklub. He won promotion to the Danish Superliga in his first season with the club, making 26 total appearances in which he scored eight goals. International career Knudsen made his international debut for Faroe Islands on 28 March 2021 in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification match against Austria, which finished as a 3–1 away loss.
