Strippers
A stripper or exotic dancer is a person whose occupation involves performing striptease in a public adult entertainment venue such as a strip club. At times, a stripper may be hired to perform at a bachelor party or other private event. Modern Americanized forms of stripping minimize interaction by strippers with customers, reducing the importance of ''tease'' in the performance in favor of speed to undress (''strip''). Not all strippers are comfortable dancing topless or fully nude, but in general, full nudity is common where not prohibited by law. The integration of the burlesque pole as a nearly ubiquitous prop has shifted the emphasis in the performance toward a more acrobatic, explicit expression compared to the slow-developing burlesque style. Scott Amedure
Scott Bernard Amedure (January 26, 1963 – March 9, 1995) was a bartender from Lake Orion, Michigan, who was fatally shot twice on March 9, 1995, by his acquaintance Jonathan Schmitz. Three days prior to the shooting, Amedure and Schmitz filmed an episode of the tabloid talk show ''The Jenny Jones Show''; titled " Revealing Same Sex Secret Crush", Amedure, a 32-year-old gay man, publicly revealed to Schmitz, a 24-year-old straight man, that Amedure was his secret admirer. Following this appearance, Schmitz confronted Amedure and shot him twice in the chest. He confessed to the killing and was found guilty of second-degree murder. The Amedure family sued ''The Jenny Jones Show'' for wrongful death, although the show was ultimately found to not be liable. Same-Sex Secret Crushes
"Revealing Same Sex Secret Crush" (alternatively known as "Same-Sex Secret Crushes" and "Secret Crushes on People of the Same Sex") is an unaired episode of the American tabloid talk show ''The Jenny Jones Show''. Filmed on March 6, 1995, in Chicago, Illinois, the episode was intended to air in May 1995 as part of the show's fifth season. The episode featured six guests who were invited to meet a secret admirer on the show; unknown to the guests was that their secret admirers were all of the same-sex. Each secret admirer publicly revealed their crush to a guest, with presenter Jenny Jones interviewing the two afterwards. Three days after the episode's taping, one of the guests, Jonathan Schmitz, murdered his secret admirer Scott Amedure. The episode was subsequently shelved; however, it was later shown to jurors during Schmitz's trial for the first-degree murder of Amedure. ''Pitchfork'' (formerly ''Pitchfork Media'') is an American online music publication (currently owned by Condé Nast) that was launched in 1995 by writer Ryan Schreiber as an independent music blog. Dinosaur Jr. is an American rock band formed in Amherst, Massachusetts, in 1984, originally simply called Dinosaur until legal issues forced a change in name. The band was founded by J Mascis (guitar, vocals, primary songwriter), Lou Barlow (bass, vocals), and Murph (drums). After three albums on independent labels, the band earned a reputation as one of the formative influences on American alternative rock. Creative tension led to Mascis firing Barlow, who later formed Sebadoh and Folk Implosion. His replacement, Mike Johnson, came aboard for three major-label albums. Three 6 Mafia is an American Hip hop music, hip hop group from Memphis, Tennessee, formed in 1991. Emerging as a horror-themed underground hip hop group, they would eventually go on to enjoy mainstream success. The group's 1995 debut album ''Mystic Stylez'' would go on to become an influential cult classic.
