Jennings Motor Group are a collection of car dealerships in the north east of the United Kingdom. It represents the motor brands Ford Motor Company, Ford, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi and SEAT, and has recently added Harley-Davidson. The company has its head office in Washington, Tyne and Wear and dealerships in Gateshead, Middlesbrough, South Shields, Sunderland, and Stockton on Tees. It has remained a Limited company for over 100 years. History The Jennings Motor Group traces its origin to 1890. It was started by Septimus Jennings in Morpeth, Northumberland. Septimus Jennings was born on 3 December 1854 in Northumberland. . He married Margaret Short on 19 July 1877 in Morpeth, Northumberland. They had seven children in 12 years. He died on 9 October 1938 in Morpeth, Northumberland, at the age of 83. In the 1881 Census Septimus Jennings was listed as working as a Ploughing engine, Steam Plough Man.
