Jennie Linden
Jennie Linden (born 8 December 1939) is an English actress. She is best known for her starring role in Ken Russell's film ''Women in Love'' (1969) as well as her starring role in the cult film ''Nightmare'' (1964). Life and career Linden was born in Worthing to Marcus and Freida Fletcher. Her earliest film appearances were as the heroine in Hammer's ''Nightmare'' (1964) and Barbara in '' Dr. Who and the Daleks'' (1965). Her most widely known film role was as Ursula in ''Women in Love'' (1969), for which she received a BAFTA nomination; a year later she appeared in the film version of Iris Murdoch's novel ''A Severed Head''. Her subsequent film appearances include '' Vampira'' (1974), '' Valentino'' (1977) and ''Charlie Muffin'' (1979). Wishing to raise her son in England, Linden decided not to pursue a career in Hollywood. Worthing () is a seaside town in West Sussex, England, at the foot of the South Downs, west of Brighton, and east of Chichester. ''Dr. Finlay's Casebook'' is a television drama series that was produced and broadcast by the BBC from 1962 until 1971. Based on A. J. Cronin's 1935 novella ''Country Doctor'', the storylines centred on a general medical practice in the fictional Scottish town of Tannochbrae during the late 1920s. ''Hedda'' is a 1975 film adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's 1891 play ''Hedda Gabler''. It stars Glenda Jackson, Peter Eyre, and Patrick Stewart (in his screen debut) and was directed by Trevor Nunn. Kenneth Charles Williams (22 February 1926 – 15 April 1988) was an English actor of Welsh heritage. He was best known for his comedy roles and in later life as a raconteur and diarist.
