Jenni Byrne
Jenni Byrne is a political advisor, political commenter, and government relations expert. A member of the Conservative Party of Canada and the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, she is a former advisor to Prime Minister Stephen Harper and former Principal Secretary to Doug Ford. Once referred to as "the most powerful woman in Ottawa," she currently operates her own consulting firm, Jenni Byrne + Associates. Personal life Family Byrne was born to Jerry and Julie Byrne in 1976 in Fenelon Falls, Ontario. Her mother was a teacher, who died in 2010 at the age of 58. Her father is a carpenter who joined the Reform Party in the 1990s to protest the long-gun registry enacted as part of the Firearms Act, 1995, introduced by the Liberal government of Prime Minister Jean Chrétien. Prime Minister's Office (Canada)
The Prime Minister's Office (PMO; french: Cabinet du Premier minister; french: CPM, label=none) is the political arm of the staff housed in the Office of the Prime Minister and Privy Council building that supports the role of the prime minister of Canada. Its staff provides provision of policy advice, information gathering, communications, planning, and strategizing. It should not be confused with the Privy Council Office (PCO), which is the top office that controls the Public Service of Canada and is expressly non-partisan. The PMO is concerned with making policy, whereas the PCO is concerned with executing the policy decisions made by the government. Katie Telford manages the PMO, serving as Chief of Staff to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau since November 4, 2015. The position of Principal Secretary has been vacant since February 18, 2019. David Herle
David Herle is a Canadian political consultant and Principal Partner at leading polling and research firm, The Gandalf Group. He is also a regular CBC commentator. David Herle received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Regina and was called to the Bar in Ontario after receiving his LLB from the University of Saskatchewan. Herle worked on John Turner's leadership bid. Herle was previously a senior partner at Earnscliffe Strategy Group and a top advisor to former Prime Minister Paul Martin. ''Power & Politics'' is a Canadian television news program focused on national politics, which airs live daily on CBC News Network from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern Time weekdays and as a syndicated podcast. The program normally originates from the CBC's Ottawa studios.
