Jemimah Puddleduck
Jemimah Puddleduck was an American rock band led by Bob Weir & RatDog lead guitarist Mark Karan. In addition to Karan the band also included Billy Lee Lewis on drums, Bob Gross or Robin Sylvester on bass and John "JT" Thomas or Mookie Siegel on keyboards. History The band was formed in 1999 by Karan, drummer John Molo (Bruce Hornsby, Phil Lesh & Friends), bassist Bob Gross (Albert King) and keyboardist Arlan Schierbaum (Richie Kotzen). They released one self titled album in 2000. Since then, they have performed over 100 rare shows while members still maintain their separate touring careers. Schierbaum was replaced by John "JT" Thomas and the full band played on several songs on Mark Karan's debut solo album, Walk Through the Fire. In 2009 John Molo was replaced on drums by Wally Ingram due to scheduling conflicts with Moonalice. Drummer Carlo Nuccio did a few dates in 2009. John Molo
John Molo (born December 5, 1953, Bethesda, Maryland) is an American rock and jazz drummer and percussionist. He has played with a variety of bands, combos, and soloists. Best known for being the drummer for Bruce Hornsby and the Range, he has also played with The Other Ones, Phil Lesh and Friends, Delaney Bramlett, John Fogerty, Keller Williams, Mike Watt, Paul Kelly, David Nelson, Jemimah Puddleduck, and Modereko. Biography Early Years John Molo was born in Bethesda, Maryland of mostly Irish descent. His surname is Swiss-Italian but his other three grandparents all emigrated from Ireland. Moonalice
Moonalice is an American rock band, formed from previous members of the Flying Other Brothers. The band has been touring since May 2007, and has come to the attention of music critics. The band is currently made up of ten musicians, and led by businessman Roger McNamee. Their eponymous debut album was recorded and released in 2009 and followed by a series of E.P.s named "Dave's Way," featuring mostly new material. In 2022, they joined Nettwerk Music Group and on April 20 released a new EP ''Full Moonalice Vol. 1''. The band has been consistently touring the United States and Canada since 2007 with several tour dates in 2009 featuring Jack Casady. John Molo joined the band in early 2009 and guitarist G. E. ''Jemimah Puddleduck'' is an album by the rock group of the same name. It was recorded live at several different concerts in 1999 and 2000, and released in 2000. The band Jemimah Puddleduck is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and led by guitarist and singer Mark Karan, who is also a member of Bob Weir's band RatDog. Richie Kotzen
Richard Dale Kotzen Jr. (born February 3, 1970) is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter. As a solo artist, Kotzen has back catalogue of more than 20 album releases. He was a member of glam metal band Poison from 1991 to 1993, Mr. Big from 1999 to 2002, and since 2012, has been the frontman of the band The Winery Dogs. Kotzen was signed to California-based Shrapnel Records from 1988 to 1991, and again from 1995 to 1997. Biography Kotzen began playing piano at the age of five. At the age of seven, he was inspired to learn the electric guitar, by the band Kiss. He started his career in a band named Arthur's Museum. Albert Nelson (April 25, 1923 – December 21, 1992), known by his stage name Albert King, was an American guitarist and singer who is often regarded as one of the greatest and most influential blues guitarists of all time. He is perhaps best known for his popular and influential album ''Born Under a Bad Sign'' (1967) and its title track. He, B.B. King, and Freddie King, all unrelated, were known as the "Kings of the Blues". Robin Sylvester
Robin Sylvester (1950 – 29 October 2022) was an English musician who was best known as a member of the American band RatDog. Although primarily a bass player, he played several instruments, including the guitar and keyboards, and did extensive arranging. Sylvester began his professional music career with the ''a cappella'' London Boy Singers chorus in the 1960s, and as a sound engineer in 1969. Working as an assistant at Abbey Road Studios when The Beatles recorded their eponymous album, he was inspired by Paul McCartney to take up the bass guitar. He also used early synthesisers while playing with and producing Byzantium in 1971. While touring with Dana Gillespie, he moved to the United States in 1974. Mark Karan (born January 13, 1955) is an American guitarist and singer. He is best known for his long-term work with former members of the Grateful Dead, in RatDog (1998–2013), the Other Ones (1998–2000), Mickey Hart's band Planet Drum (1999), and Phil Lesh and Friends (2012). Karan has also played and toured with Terrapin Flyer, Delaney Bramlett, the Rembrandts, Sophie B. Hawkins, Dave Mason, and Paul Carrack. Karan leads the bands Jemimah Puddleduck and Mark Karan's Buds. In 2009 he released a solo album, ''Walk Through the Fire''.
