Jeffrey Cook (British Army Officer)
Brigadier Jeffrey Robson Cook, (born 1954) is a retired British Army officer and a former Director for Security Liaison in the Royal Household of the Sovereign of the United Kingdom. He served in the Royal Household from 2004 to 2009, and is now Managing Director of the Morgan Aquila Group. Early life and military career Cook was born in 1954. He entered the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and, on graduation, was granted a short service commission as a second lieutenant in the Staffordshire Regiment on 9 November 1974. Promoted lieutenant on 9 November 1976 and captain on 2 December 1983, Cook trained as a parachutist and saw service in Northern Ireland during the Troubles and in the Balkans and elsewhere as an officer of the Special Air Service. He was granted a regular commission in 1984, and awarded the Military Cross in April 1985 "in recognition of gallant and distinguished service in Northern Ireland". Jeffrey Cook (cricketer)
Jeffrey William Cook (born 2 February 1972) was a professional cricket player who played primarily for Northamptonshire. Cook started out in the New South Wales Under-17's team in the 1988/89 season and later travelled to England where he first played league cricket in 1993 and became engaged to English woman. Cook was taken on by Leicestershire Second XI in 1997, and Derbyshire Second XI in 1998. The next year, Jeff Cook moved on to yet another county, and played for the Northamptonshire Second XI for a season before being promoted into the first team in 2000, receiving his County Cap in 2003. He played 144 matches for Northamptonshire, making a particular impact in the One-day competitions for his team, before leaving the club in 2004. Jeffrey Alan Cook (August 27, 1949 – November 7, 2022) was an American country music artist. He was best known for being a founding member of the band Alabama, in which he contributed to lead vocals, guitar, fiddle, piano and other musical instruments. Life and career Jeffrey Alan Cook was born in Fort Payne, Alabama, and was of English and Native American descent. He was a graduate of Fort Payne High School and Jacksonville State University. He obtained a broadcast engineer license three days after his fourteenth birthday, and worked at a local radio station as a disc jockey while still in high school. Cook co-founded the band Wildcountry, along with his cousins Randy Owen and Teddy Gentry, in 1972 (the name was changed to Alabama in 1977). Jeffery William Cook (born 14 March 1953) is an English former professional footballer who played in the Football League for Bradford City, Halifax Town, Plymouth Argyle and Stoke City. Career Cook was born in Hartlepool but began his footballing career with South African side Hellenic. Coach at Hellenic was George Eastham and he left in March 1977 to become manager of Stoke City and he brought Cook to Stoke in November 1977. He made to good start scoring in his second game against Blackpool but with Stoke having a poor season Eastham was replaced by Alan Durban in January 1978 and consequently Cook was loaned out to Bradford City. He scored once in eight matches for the "Bantams" and then scored five in seven for Plymouth Argyle. Jeff D. Cook (born April 18, 1961) is an American professional golfer. Cook was born in Muncie, Indiana. He played college golf at Indiana University and turned professional in 1987. Cook played on the PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour from 1990 to 2000. On the Nationwide Tour (1990–92, 1994–95, 1997, 2000), he won the 1990 Ben Hogan Greater Ozarks Open. Jeffrey "Jeff" Cook was an All-American lacrosse player at Johns Hopkins University from 1979 to 1982. Lacrosse career Cook who prepped at St. Paul's School (Brooklandville, Maryland) and McDonogh School, led Johns Hopkins to a 51 and 5 record during his time there. With the Blue Jays, Cook won national titles in 1979 and 1980. He is ranked sixth all-time in Hopkin's career scoring with 219 points. Cook earned first-team All America honors two years and second-team honors while in college, as well as being named the National Collegiate Player of the Year and the National Collegiate Attackman of the Year winner in 1981. Cook also led Hopkins to championship finals in 1981 and 1982, getting upset by UNC 14-13, Hopkins' first title game loss in the preceding four years, and losing also to North Carolina 7-5 in 1982. Jeff Cook is an American soccer coach. He is currently the head men's soccer coach at Pennsylvania State University. Coaching career Cook started his coaching career as an assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In 1991, he earned his first head coaching gig, becoming the head coach at Division III school, Wheaton College. While at Wheaton, he compiled a 31–22–4 record for three seasons. In May 1994, he took an assistant coaching job at Dartmouth College, under head coach Fran O'Leary. He held that position until February 1996, when he became head coach at the University of Cincinnati. From 1996 to 2000, he led the Bearcats to a 44–42–8 record.
