Jeff Williams (rugby Union, Born 1974)
Jeff Williams (born July 17, 1974) is a Canadian former international rugby union player. Raised in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, Williams is the elder brother of Canada scrum-half Morgan Williams and came through the Pacific Pride program in British Columbia. Williams, a James Bay stalwart, had several years as an international rugby sevens player by the time he got his Canada senior call up in 2001. He was capped five times for Canada that year, debuting at fullback against the United States in Kingston, then later playing a tournament in Japan with the national team. From 2015 to 2021, Williams served as coach of the Canada men's under-20 rugby union team. Morgan Andrew Williams (born April 17, 1976, in Kingston, Ontario) is a rugby union scrum half. A Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia native, Williams debuted on the world rugby scene at age 23 when he scored two tries for Canada against France during the 1999 Rugby World Cup. The 183 cm, 84 kg Williams has played professionally with Bordeaux-Begles (1999–00 season), Stade Français (00-02 and 06 seasons), Saracens (02-05 seasons). Williams beat out Christophe Lassuque to gain the starting role at Stade Français, and Kieran Bracken at Saracens. Williams Played 3 times for the British Barbarians, and was selected in the Martin Johnston vs Joan Lomu North vs South game in Twickenham. Canada National Under-20 Rugby Union Team
The Canada under 20 rugby team is the junior national rugby union team from Canada. It replaced the two former age grade teams, the under 19s and under 21s, in 2008. The team competed at the IRB Junior World Championships in 2008 and 2009 but were relegated to the IRB Junior World Rugby Trophy for 2010. The team has yet to make their way back to the top competition.
