Jeff Ward (musician)
Jeff Ward (November 18, 1962 – March 19, 1993) was an American musician, serving as a drummer for various rock bands including Skafish, Hammeron, Nine Inch Nails, Revolting Cocks, Ministry, Lard (Drums and Vocals), and Low Pop Suicide. He committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning in 1993. Revolting Cocks' 1993 album '' Linger Ficken' Good'', Nine Inch Nails' 1994 album ''The Downward Spiral'', Ministry's 1996 album ''Filth Pig'', and Lard's 1997 release '' Pure Chewing Satisfaction'' all featured dedications to him, while Ward's friend (and Nine Inch Nails bandmate) Richard Patrick dealt with his death in the Filter track "It's Over." He probably provided vocals and drums for 1000 Homo DJs. Low Pop Suicide was an indie rock band of the early 1990s on World Domination Recordings. History Dave Allen (Gang of Four and Shriekback), Rick Boston and Jeff Ward founded the band in Los Angeles. Rick Boston sang and played guitar, Dave Allen, founder of the record label ''World Domination Recordings'', played bass and Jeff Ward was on drums. Ward left the group after the recording of their debut album, ''On the Cross of Commerce''. He committed suicide in 1993, dying of carbon monoxide poisoning. He was replaced by Melle Steagal. 1000 Homo DJs was a side project of American industrial rock band Ministry. The project released two singles, one of which featured a cover of Black Sabbath's " Supernaut". 1000 Homo DJs began as a side project to release outtakes from Ministry's ''The Land of Rape and Honey''. The credits read "Another Luxa/Pan Production", which was the production pseudonym for Ministry members Al Jourgensen and Paul Barker. Origin of name In a 2004 interview, Jourgensen explained that when he played demos (presumably those which became ''Apathy'') for Wax Trax! co-owner Jim Nash, the latter replied, "No one's gonna buy this. It'll take one thousand homo DJs to play this for one person to buy it."
