Jeff Ward is an American actor. He is best known for his starring roles as Charles Manson in ''Manson's Lost Girls'' (2016), Seth Marlowe in '' Channel Zero: No-End House'' (2017), and Deke Shaw in '' Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'' (2017–2020). Early life and education Ward was born in Washington, D.C., and grew up in Radnor, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia, where he began acting in theatrical productions. He has one younger sister who is a third grade teacher. Ward attended Tisch School of the Arts along with fellow actor Miles Teller. He is also an alumnus of Stella Adler School for Acting. Career Ward received recognition after he was cast as Charles Manson in the 2016 TV movie ''Manson's Lost Girls'', a role he accepted because he felt that "people inherently have a slightly dark side." Jeffrey Ward (born 22 June 1961) is a British-American former professional motocross racer, auto racing driver and off-road racer. He won the AMA Motocross Championship five times and the AMA Supercross Championship twice and the Motocross des Nations seven times. After retiring from motorcycle competition, Ward turned to auto racing, finishing in second place at the Indianapolis 500 and winning a race at the Texas Motor Speedway. He then competed in off-road truck racing and rallycross. Ward was inducted into the Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 1999 and, was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America on 12 August 2006. Jeff Ward (November 18, 1962 – March 19, 1993) was an American musician, serving as a drummer for various rock bands including Skafish, Hammeron, Nine Inch Nails, Revolting Cocks, Ministry, Lard (Drums and Vocals), and Low Pop Suicide. He committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning in 1993. Revolting Cocks' 1993 album '' Linger Ficken' Good'', Nine Inch Nails' 1994 album ''The Downward Spiral'', Ministry's 1996 album ''Filth Pig'', and Lard's 1997 release '' Pure Chewing Satisfaction'' all featured dedications to him, while Ward's friend (and Nine Inch Nails bandmate) Richard Patrick dealt with his death in the Filter track "It's Over."
