Jeff Thomas (cricketer)
Jeffrey Mark Thomas (born 19 October 1971) is a former Australian cricketer who represented Queensland in Australian domestic cricket as a right-handed opening batsman. He later took up coaching, and served as coach of the Canadian national team from 1999 to 2002. Toowoomba ( , nicknamed 'The Garden City' and 'T-Bar') is a city in the Toowoomba Region of the Darling Downs, Queensland, Australia. It is west of Queensland's capital city Brisbane by road. Augustine Lawrence Logie (born 28 September 1960), commonly known as Gus Logie, is a former West Indies and Trinidad and Tobago cricketer and is currently an international cricket coach. Logie played in the dominant West Indies team of the 1980s as a batsman, though he was almost equally well known as a strong fielder. He made 52 Test appearances and played in 158 One Day Internationals, scoring three international centuries. Career Born and raised in the village of La Brea, Logie enjoyed a successful career with the Trinidad and Tobago and the West Indies. He played for T&T from 1978 to 1992 and went on to captain the side in 1990. The 2003 ICC Cricket World Cup was the eighth Cricket World Cup, organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It was co-hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya from 9 February to 23 March 2003. This edition of the World Cup was the first to be played in Africa. 2001 ICC Trophy
The 2001 ICC Trophy was a cricket tournament played in Ontario, Canada in 2001. It was the Cricket World Cup qualification tournament for the 2003 Cricket World Cup. Three spots in the World Cup were on offer and the Netherlands, host nation Canada and for the first time, Namibia all qualified. Scotland failed to qualify losing in the 3rd place play off and finishing fourth. The Netherlands won the final against Namibia.
