Jeff Robinson (starting Pitcher)
Jeffrey Mark Robinson (December 14, 1961 – October 26, 2014) was an American right-handed pitcher who spent six seasons from 1987 to 1992 in Major League Baseball (MLB) with the Detroit Tigers (1987–1990), Baltimore Orioles (1991), Texas Rangers (1992) and Pittsburgh Pirates (1992). Professional career Robinson was drafted out of Christian High School, El Cajon, California, by the Toronto Blue Jays in the seventeenth round (419th overall) in 1979 and the San Diego Padres in the fortieth round (817th overall) in 1980. Instead of signing a professional baseball contract out of high school, Robinson chose college and played both basketball and baseball at Azusa Pacific Christian College (now Azusa Pacific University). In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. The 1992 Major League Baseball season was the 111th season in the history of the Pittsburgh Pirates and their 106th in the National League. This was their 23rd season at Three Rivers Stadium. Mickey Tettleton
Mickey Lee Tettleton (born September 16, 1960) is an American former professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball for the Oakland Athletics, Baltimore Orioles, Detroit Tigers, and Texas Rangers. Although Tettleton played mostly as a catcher, he also played as a first baseman, an outfielder, and as a designated hitter. A two-time All-Star, Tettleton was considered one of the best-hitting catchers of his era, winning three Silver Slugger Awards. His powerful hitting was highlighted when he became only the fifth player in major league history to hit two home runs over the right field roof of Tiger Stadium and, in 1992 he became the first player to hit a ball onto Eutaw Street which runs behind right field at Baltimore's Camden Yards. Kirby Puckett
Kirby Puckett (March 14, 1960 – March 6, 2006) was an American professional baseball player. He played his entire 12-year Major League Baseball (MLB) career as a center fielder for the Minnesota Twins (1984–1995). Puckett is the Twins' all-time leader in career hits, runs, and total bases. At the time of his retirement, his .318 career batting average was the highest by any right-handed American League batter since Joe DiMaggio. Puckett was the fourth baseball player during the 20th century to record 1,000 hits in his first five full calendar years in Major League Baseball, and was the second to record 2,000 hits during his first ten full calendar years. Greg Gagne (baseball)
Gregory Carpenter Gagne (; born November 12, 1961) is a former shortstop in Major League Baseball. He played 10 seasons for the Minnesota Twins from 1983 to 1992, including both of the Twins' World Series championship teams in 1987 and 1991. He was considered one of the American League's best defensive shortstops during his time with Minnesota.
