Jeff Leach (politician)
Jeffrey Curtis Leach, known as Jeff Leach (born June 10, 1982), is a Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives for District 67, representing a portion of Collin County. Biography Leach was born in Plano, Texas and graduated from Plano Senior High School. He attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Following graduation from Baylor, Leach earned his J.D. degree from SMU Dedman School of Law in Dallas and currently practices with the Texas law firm, Gray Reed & McGraw, P.C. Leach specializes in complex commercial and civil litigation, construction law, and real estate. Leach serves on the Board of Trustees for Houston Baptist University, on the Texas Judicial Council, and as a board member of the Texas Conservative Coalition Research Institute. In January 2021, he was appointed to serve on the board of directors of the Prestonwood Pregnancy Center. Plano, Texas
Plano ( ) is a city in Collin County, Texas, Collin County and Denton County, Texas, United States. It had a population of 285,494 at the 2020 United States census, 2020 census. It is a principal city of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. History European settlers came to the area near present-day Plano in the early 1840s. Facilities such as a sawmill, a gristmill, and a store soon brought more people to the area. A mail service was established, and after rejecting several names for the nascent town (including naming it in honor of then-President Millard Fillmore), residents suggested the name ''Plano'' (from the Spanish word for "flat") in reference to the local terrain, unvaried and devoid of any trees.
