Jeff Fishback
Jeffrey ("Jeff") Mason Fishback (born November 20, 1941, in San Mateo, California) is a retired middle- and long-distance runner from the United States. He won the gold medal in the men's 3000 metres steeplechase event at the 1963 Pan American Games in Brazil. Fishback represented his native country at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. He was runner-up in the steeplechase at the 1962 NCAAs for San Jose State College coached by Lloyd (Bud) Winter Lloyd C. Winter, better known as Bud (June 8, 1909 – December 6, 1985) was an American track and field coach who is regarded as one of the greatest sprint coaches in the world. Athletics is a group of sporting events that involves competitive running, jumping, throwing, and walking. The most common types of athletics competitions are track and field, road running, cross country running, and racewalking. The results of racing events are decided by finishing position (or time, where measured), while the jumps and throws are won by the athlete that achieves the highest or furthest measurement from a series of attempts.
