Jeffrey C. Elgin (born February 22, 1951) is an American politician in the state of Iowa. Elgin was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He attended West Des Moines Valley High School, where he earned letters in football, track, wrestling and baseball. The Iowa House of Representatives is the lower house of the Iowa General Assembly, the upper house being the Iowa Senate. There are 100 seats in the Iowa House of Representatives, representing 100 single-member districts across the state, formed by dividing the 50 Senate districts in half.
