Alex Jeannin
Alexandre 'Alex' Jeannin (born 30 December 1977 in Troyes, France) is a French footballer, who plays for Weymouth. Football career Jeannin began his career at local club Troyes, where he mainly played for the reserves in the fifth tier of French football. He made two first team appearances in Ligue 2 during the 1997-98 season. He then moved to Racing Club Paris where he played in the Championnat National He started playing in England in the 2000-01 season when Darlington signed him from Troyes AC. However midway through the following season his contract was terminated. His next spell in English football was with Exeter City where he spent two seasons and was part of the team who played against Manchester United in the FA Cup before being released at the tail end of the 2004-05 season. Pierre Jeannin
Pierre Jeannin (1542–1623) was a French statesman, otherwise known as a surintendant des finances (Finance Superintendent). In 1573 he married Anne Gueniot and had one daughter, Charlotte Jeannin. Career He was born at Autun. A pupil of the great jurist Jacques Cujas at Bourges, he was an advocate at Dijon by 1569 and became councillor and then president of the parlement of Burgundy. He unsuccessfully opposed the massacre of St Bartholomew in his province. As councillor to Charles of Lorraine, Duke of Mayenne, he sought to reconcile him with King Henry IV of France. After the victory of Fontaine-Française (1595), Henry took Jeannin into his council and in 1602 named him intendant of finances. He took part in the principal events of the reign, negotiated the Treaty of Lyon with Charles Emmanuel I, Duke of Savoy, and the defensive alliance between France and the United Netherlands in 1608. Sandy Jeannin (born 28 February 1976 in Les Bayards, Switzerland) is a Swiss former professional ice hockey left wing who played in the Swiss National League A. Playing career Jeannin began playing semi-professional in 1993 with HC La Chaux-de-Fonds of the National League B. He began playing in the top league in 1995 with the Zürich Lions.
