Jeanette Nuñez
Jeanette Marie Nuñez (born June 6, 1972) is an American businesswoman and politician serving as the 20th lieutenant governor of Florida since 2019. A member of the Republican Party, she represented Miami-Dade County in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018, also serving as speaker pro tempore for her final two years in the office. Nuñez is the first Latina to serve as Florida lieutenant governor. Early life and education Nuñez was born in Miami to a Cuban father Victor C. Sanchez and Teresita Sanchez and is one of three daughters. In 1994, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and international relations from Florida International University (FIU). Jack Latvala
Jack Latvala (born November 3, 1951) is a Republican politician from Florida. He represented the Pinellas County area in the Florida Senate from 1994 to 2002, and again from 2010 to 2018. Latvala was also a candidate for Governor of Florida in 2018, but withdrew from the race and resigned from his position in the state Senate following allegations of sexual harassment and public corruption.
