Jean Söderberg
Jean Söderberg (1890–1924) was a Swedish bandy player and footballer. Söderberg was part of the Djurgården Swedish champions' team of 1912. Djurgårdens IF Bandy
Djurgårdens IF Bandy is the bandy section of Swedish sports club Djurgårdens IF, located in Stockholm. History Djurgårdens IF was one of the teams playing at the Nordic Games in 1905, where the team lost the final to Uppsala HK. The club has been in the Swedish championship finals seven times before 1930, and won two of them, in 1908 and 1912. The 1908 team, who defeated Östergötlands BF with 3–1 at Idrottsparken in Norrköping, consisted of Bror Modén, Gunnar Friberg, Karl Öhman, Algot Nilsson, Götrik Frykman, Birger Walla, Arvid Spångberg, Ivar Friberg, Erik Lavass, Erik Andéhn, and Gottfrid Johansson. Swedish bandy champions () is a title held by the winners of the final of the highest Swedish bandy league played each year, Elitserien. The final is called ''Svenska bandyfinalen'' ("Swedish Bandy Final") and is played in March. From the 2007–08 season, Saturday replaced Sunday as the final date, but was changed back to Sunday again and again to Saturday in 2015 in 2010. In 2009 Eurosport 2 showed it for the 1st time. History The first final was held in 1907, when IFK Uppsala beat IFK Gävle with 4–1 in Boulognerskogen, Gävle. In 1912 two winners were declared, because no replay of the tied final could be played due to the weather. Swedish football champions ( sv, Svenska mästare i fotboll) is a title held by the winners of the highest Swedish football league played each year, Allsvenskan. Malmö FF are the holders of the record of most titles with 22 Swedish championships. After winning the 2021 Allsvenskan, Malmö FF are also the reigning Swedish football champions. The title has been contested since 1896 in varying forms of competition. The first Swedish Champions, Örgryte IS, were declared in 1896 when the club won the cup tournament Svenska Mästerskapet. This happened before there existed any Swedish national association, which was not created until 1904. Sten Söderberg
Sten Söderberg (13 March 1893 – 1969) was a Swedish footballer and bandy player. He made nine appearances and scored three goals for Sweden national team. As a footballer, he played as an inside forward. In 1921, Söderberg moved to the United States. Sten Söderberg's brother Jean Söderberg also played for Djurgårdens IF Bandy and Djurgårdens IF Fotboll, while his other brother Herman Söderberg represented Järva IS. Sweden National Football Team
The Sweden national football team ( sv, svenska fotbollslandslaget) represents Sweden in men's international football and it is controlled by the Swedish Football Association, the governing body of football in Sweden. Svenska Mästerskapet was a Swedish football competition held as a cup to decide the Swedish Champions between 1896 and 1925. It was held during a short period, and all games were often played in either Gothenburg or Stockholm. For many years only teams from Gothenburg and Stockholm participated. The Swedish Championship knockout competition was last played in 1925. The 1924–1925 season saw the start of the nationwide league Allsvenskan, and from the 1930–1931 season the Allsvenskan winners have been crowned Swedish Champions, except for the years 1982–1990 when Allsvenskan was followed by the Swedish Championship Playoffs and 1991 and 1992 when Allsvenskan was followed by Mästerskapsserien, both to determine the Swedish Champions.
