Jean Lambert-wild
Jean Lambert-wild is a white clown and theatre-maker born in 1972 in Réunion. Since January 2021, he is the artistic director of the Coopérative 326. Biography Early life In 1979, his father, who was a livestock farmer, created the farming cooperative ''Sica Révia''. In 2012, the cooperative was composed of 323 livestock farmers. As a child, Jean Lambert-wild experienced the creation of this cooperative as an initiatory event, which mythology continues to influence several of his projects. He moved Lyon in 1990 and started a BA in Philosophy at Lyon III University. It is there that André Arcellaschi, his Latin lecturer, incited him to direct plays by Plautus, Seneca the Younger and Gombrowicz. He considered joining the Merchant Navy, but shortly before saw a production of Chekhov's ''Three Sisters'' by German director Matthias Langhoff. Avignon Festival
The ''Festival d'Avignon'', or Avignon Festival, is an annual arts festival held in the French city of Avignon every summer in July in the courtyard of the Palais des Papes as well as in other locations of the city. Founded in 1947 by Jean Vilar, it is the oldest existent festival in France. Alongside the official festival, the "In" one, a number of shows are presented in Avignon at the same time of the year and are known as the "Off". In 2008, some 950 shows were performed during three weeks. The Birth of a Festival 1947, The Week of Scenic Arts Art critic Christian Zervos and poet René Char organized a modern art exhibition held in the main chapel of the Pope's Palace in Avignon. Edmond Couchot
Edmond Couchot (16 August 1932 – 26 December 2020) was a French digital artist and art theoretician who taught at the University Paris VIII. Life and work Couchot was a Doctor of aesthetics in the visual arts. From 1982-2000 he headed the department of Arts and Technologies of the Image at the University Paris VIII. He continued to take part in speculative and hands-on study of digital imagery and virtual reality at University Paris VIII. As a theoretician Dr. Couchot was interested in the connection between art and technology, in particular between the visual arts and data-processing techniques. He published approximately 100 articles on the digital and 3 books. As a visual artist Dr. Couchot formed cybernetic devices requiring the participation of the spectator in the 1960s. Bernard-Marie Koltès (; 9 April 1948 – 15 April 1989) was a French playwright and theatre director best known for his plays ''La Nuit juste avant les Forêts'' (''The Night Just Before the Forests'', 1976), ''Sallinger'' (1977) and ''Dans la Solitude des Champs de Coton'' (''In the Solitude of Cotton Fields'', 1986). A close friend and collaborator with the avant-garde director Patrice Chéreau, the two created groundbreaking work together at both the La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club in New York City and the Théâtre des Amandiers in Nanterre. At the time of his death, Koltès was considered to be one of the most important young voices in French theatre, and heir apparent to the legacy left by post-war playwrights such as Samuel Beckett, Jean Cocteau and Jean Genet.
