Jean-Yves Riocreux
Monsignor Jean-Yves Riocreux (born 24 February 1946 at Marlhes) is the French Roman Catholic Bishop of Basse-Terre. Mgr Riocreux was appointed Bishop of Pontoise on 5 May 2003 and consecrated on 29 June 2003. He was appointed Bishop of Basse-Terre on 15 June 2012, leaving Pontoise on 16 September, and was installed on 30 September 2012. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Basse-Terre and Pointe-à-Pitre ( la, Dioecesis Imae Telluris et Petrirostrensis; ), more simply known as the Diocese of Basse-Terre, is a diocese of the Latin Church of the Roman Catholic Church in the Caribbean. The diocese comprises the entirety of the French overseas department of Guadeloupe, one of the Leeward Lesser Antilles. It is also responsible for parishes in the small overseas departments of Saint Barthélemy and Saint Martin. The diocese is a suffragan of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Fort-de-France, and both are members of the Antilles Episcopal Conference. Ernest Mesmin Lucien Cabo (15 December 1932 in Sainte-Rose, Guadeloupe – 28 November 2019 in Basse-Terre) was the Roman Catholic bishop of the Diocese of Basse-Terre in Guadeloupe from 1984 to 2008. Aron Jean-Marie Lustiger (; 17 September 1926 – 5 August 2007) was a French cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. He was Archbishop of Paris from 1981 until his resignation in 2005.
