Jean-Philippe Daurelle
Jean-Philippe Daurelle (born 28 December 1963) is a French fencer. He won a bronze medal in the team sabre event at the 1992 Summer Olympics. After he retired as an athlete he became a coach. He now trains the women's sabre French national team. Under his coaching, France won the silver medal in the 2014 European Fencing Championships and in the 2014 World Fencing Championships The 2014 World Fencing Championships were held in Kazan, Russia, from 15–23 July. Antony, Hauts-de-Seine
Antony () is a commune in the southern suburbs of Paris, France, from the centre of Paris. Antony is a subprefecture of the Hauts-de-Seine department and the seat of the arrondissement of Antony. Watered by the Bièvre, a tributary of the Seine, Antony is at the crossroads of important transport routes, especially the main north–south axis, which has existed for 2,000 years. Little urbanized until the early 20th century, the city grew considerably between the two wars, under Senator-Mayor Auguste Mounié, from 4,000 to 20,000 inhabitants. In the early 1960s the population quickly increased from 25,000 to 50,000 to accommodate repatriated people from Algeria. Now incorporated in the Paris Metropolitan Area, it is particularly strong in education, with one of the largest private institutions in France, and in health, with the largest private establishment in Île-de-France. The sabre (US English: ''saber'', both pronounced ) is one of the three disciplines of modern fencing. The sabre weapon is for thrusting and cutting with both the cutting edge and the back of the blade (unlike other modern fencing weapons, the épée and foil, where the methods of making a hit are scored using only the point of the blade). The informal term ''sabreur'' refers to a male fencer who follows the discipline; ''sabreuse'' is the female equivalent.
