Jean-Paul Alduy
Jean-Paul Alduy (born 7 May 1942) is a French politician. He is member of the Senate of France, representing the department of Pyrénées-Orientales as well as the president of the Urban Community of Mediterranean Perpignan. An engineer by profession, he was a member of the Union for French Democracy and then the Union for a Popular Movement. His parents, Paul and Jacqueline Alduy, also served as senators of France. Youth and professional career Alduy was born in Lyon. A polytechnic general engineer of National Road Training, he went through a large of his career in the Ivory Coast as the Director of the Central Office of Technical Studies from 1978 to 1980. He was the permanent secretary of building and technical policy of building management to the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing between 1981 and 1986. In France, a mayor (french: maire), (Occitan language, Occitan: ''cònsol)'' is chairperson of the Municipal council (France), municipal council, which organises the work and deliberates on municipal matters. François Bayrou
François René Jean Lucien Bayrou (; born 25 May 1951) is a French politician who has presided over the Democratic Movement (MoDem) since he founded it in 2007. A centrist, he was a candidate in the 2002, 2007 and 2012 presidential elections. He has also presided over the European Democratic Party (EDP) since 2004. From 1993 to 1997, he was Minister of National Education in three successive governments. He was also a member of the National Assembly for a seat in Pyrénées-Atlantiques from 1986 to 2012 with brief interruptions and a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from 1999 to 2002.
