Jean-Hippolyte Michon
Jean-Hippolyte Michon (21 November 1806 – 8 May 1881) was a French priest, an archaeologist, and the founder of graphology. Born in Laroche-près-Feyt, department of Corrèze, he studied in Angoulême and at the seminary in Église Saint-Sulpice, Paris, where in 1830 he was ordained into the priesthood. Archaeology or archeology is the scientific study of human activity through the recovery and analysis of material culture. The archaeological record consists of artifacts, architecture, biofacts or ecofacts, sites, and cultural landscapes. Archaeology can be considered both a social science and a branch of the humanities. Handwriting Analysis
Graphology is the analysis of handwriting with attempt to determine someone's personality traits. No scientific evidence exists to support graphology, and it is generally considered a pseudoscience or scientifically questionable practice. However, it remains in widespread use in France and has historically been considered legitimate for use in some court cases. The term is sometimes incorrectly used to refer to forensic document examination, due to the fact that aspects of the latter dealing with the examination of handwritten documents are occasionally referred to as ''graphanalysis''. Adolphe Desbarrolles
Adolphe Desbarrolles (22 August 1801 – 11 February 1886) was a French artist. He is considered the father of modern chiromancy, aka palmistry or palm reading, a form of divination. Biography Desbarolles was born in Paris, France. After completing his studies he spent three years in Germany before returning to France. Back in France he worked as a painter and writer before becoming interested in palmistry. Desbarolles married and from this marriage there was a daughter, Marthe Desbarolles who also became a graphologist and continued her fathers work. He died in Paris and was buried in the Père Lachaise Cemetery, Pére Lachaise Cemetery. He was a pupil and friend of Éliphas Lévi He was also friend to Alexandre Dumas who he concluded after reading his palm would die at 104 years of age,after a duel.
