Jean-Baptiste de Lavalette or Louis Jean-Baptiste de Lavalette or Louis Jean-Baptiste de Thomas de la Valette, Count of la Valette, was a former noble turned Robespierrist. He was elected lieutenant colonel commanding the Lombards battalion in September 1792. He served as commanding officer, leader of popular society, military governor, and lieutenant colonel. He was guillotined the 10 Thermidor Year II (28 July 1794) in the wake of Thermidorian Reaction, as a Hanriot assistant and a Robespierrist, Early life Jean-Baptiste de Lavalette was born in Paris the 27 October 1753 from Joseph François de Thomas de la Valette (1729-1765) and Marie d'Alencé. Charles François Dumouriez
Charles-François du Périer Dumouriez (, 26 January 1739 – 14 March 1823) was a French general during the French Revolutionary Wars. He shared the victory at Valmy with General François Christophe Kellermann, but later deserted the Revolutionary Army, and became a royalist intriguer during the reign of Napoleon as well as an adviser to the British government. Dumouriez is one of the names inscribed under the Arc de Triomphe, on Column 3. Early life Dumouriez was born in Cambrai, on the Scheldt River in northern France, to parents of noble rank. His father, Antoine-François du Périer, served as a commissary of the royal army, and educated his son most carefully and widely. The Army of the Coasts of Brest (french: Armée des côtes de Brest) was a French Revolutionary Army formed on 30 April 1793 by splitting the '' Army of the Coasts'' into this army and the ''Army of the Coasts of Cherbourg''. The formation was first put under the command of Jean Baptiste Camille Canclaux and charged with fighting the War in the Vendée, combatting the Chouannerie and protecting the coasts of Brittany against a British invasion. After successfully defending Nantes and suffering setbacks at Tiffauges and Montaigu, Canclaux was recalled on 5 October 1793 and many of the army's soldiers were absorbed into the Army of the West. Auguste Marie Henri Picot de Dampierre (19 August 1756 – 9 May 1793), styled the Marquis de Dampierre and usually known as Dampierre, was a French general during the time of the French Revolution. He served in many of the early battles of the War of the First Coalition, and was killed in action in 1793. His name is among those inscribed on the Arc de Triomphe. Blaise Duval de Hautmaret, or more widely referred to as Blaise Duval, (4 September 1739 – 17 January 1803) was a French general of the Revolutionary Wars. Biography Son of a merchant, he was born in Abbeville in northern France. He was cornet in the Garde du corps of the King in 1758.
