Jaz Shelley
Jazmin Pamela Shelley (born 13 May 2000) is an Australian college basketball player for the Nebraska Cornhuskers of the Big Ten Conference. A point guard, she began her college career at Oregon before transferring to Nebraska after her sophomore season. In her first year with the Cornhuskers, Shelley was a second-team All-Big Ten selection. She previously played for the Melbourne Boomers of the Women's National Basketball League, where she was named Rookie of the Year in 2019. Shelley plays for the Australian national team and is a three-time gold medalist at the junior level. Early life and career Shelley was born on 13 May 2000 to Phil and Carolyn Shelley, in Traralgon, Victoria. Nebraska Cornhuskers Women's Basketball
The Nebraska Cornhuskers women's basketball team represents the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in the Big Ten Conference of NCAA Division I. The program became a varsity sport in 1975 and has since made fifteen appearances in the NCAA tournament, reaching the Sweet Sixteen twice. FIBA Under-18 Women's Asian Championship
The FIBA Under-18 Women's Asian Championship is an international under-18 basketball championship in the International Basketball Federation's FIBA Asia zone. The tournament started in 1970, and is held biennially. The top four teams qualify toward the FIBA Under-17 Women's Basketball World Cup. Because of the recent change in the FIBA Calendar and the inclusion of and in all Asian tournaments, a new competition format was introduced at the start of the 2018 edition. Aside from renaming the tournament to FIBA Under-18 Women's Asian Championship, it is now composed of two divisions (namely Divisions A and B) with a maximum of eight teams each to participate. The Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) is the pre-eminent professional women's basketball league in Australia. It is currently composed of eight teams. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. The 2016 FIBA Under-17 World Championship for Women (Spanish:Campeonato Mundial FIBA Sub-17 Femenino 2016) was an international basketball competition that was held in Zaragoza, Spain from 22 June 22 to 2 July 2016. It was the fourth edition of the FIBA Under-17 World Championship for Women. Sixteen national teams competed in the tournament. Australia won its first gold medal in this event by beating Italy, 62–38.
