Jaydee
Robin Albers (born 1956), who uses the stage name Jaydee, is a Dutch house music producer and DJ. Biography After a degree in commercial studies, Albers played in the Dutch national baseball team and was triple Dutch arm-wrestling champion. Then, he started his career as DJ, and was a radio host on Dutch music and sport programs for eleven years. His original stage name was Jei D. In 1992, under the stage name JayDee, he released " Plastic Dreams", which reached number-one on the US ''Billboard'' Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. The song, an instrumental, featured a prominent Hammond organ-style synthesizer melody, played in a jazzy, improvised manner. "Plastic Dreams" continues to be remixed and re-released today, mostly on unsolicited white labels. "Plastic Dreams" is the debut single by Dutch producer Jaydee, and is generally considered to be one of the classics of the house music genre (initially released on R&S Records). It was successful in European countries and also achieved success in the US, where it topped the Billboard (magazine), ''Billboard'' charts in two different categories. American music critic Robert Christgau named it the best single of 1993 in his year-end list for the Pazz & Jop critics poll. Jaydee Bixby (born August 14, 1990) is a Canadian country musician who was the runner-up on the fifth season of '' Canadian Idol''. In 2008 he signed with Her Royal Majesty's Records and went on to release his debut album ''Cowboys and Cadillacs''. Moving on to On Ramp Records in 2010, he released his second album ''Easy to Love''. Before ''Canadian Idol'' Bixby was born in Drumheller, Alberta, where he grew up. He moved to Red Deer, Alberta where he attended Hunting Hills High School. He was in a band called the "Bixbys" with his mother, father, and a family friend; they played at bars, weddings and rodeos. The Dutch Single Top 100 or Single Top 100 is a Dutch chart, based on official physical single sales, legal downloads and since July 2013 streaming and composed by Dutch Charts. It is one of the three official charts, the other two being the Dutch Top 40 and the Mega Top 30. The difference is that these charts also include airplay data. The list is especially intended for the music industry and those who take an interest in charts. The Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana (FIMI) is an umbrella organization that keeps track of virtually all aspects of the music recording industry in Italy. It was established in 1992, when major corporate labels left the previously existing Associazione dei Fonografici Italiani (AFI).
