Jaya Prithvi Bahadur Singh
Jaya Prithvi Bahadur Singh (23 August 1877 – 15 October 1940), was a humanist, peace advocate, writer and social activist from Nepal. He devoted his life to social welfare and world peace. He is known mainly for humanitarianism, peace advocacy and human rights advocacy for education. He also contributed to the development of education, literature, journalism and health. Early life and education Raja Jaya Prithvi Bahadur Singh, the eldest son of Bajhangi King Bikram Bahadur Singh and Rani Rudra Kumari Singh (daughter of the then Prime Minister Jung Bahadur Rana) of Bajhang vassal State, was born on 20 August 1877 (7 Bhadra 1934 BS) in Chainpur, Bajhang, Chainpur, Bajhang District, Bajhang. Bajhang District ( , a part of Sudurpashchim Province, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal. The district, with Chainpur, that is part of Jaya Prithvi Municipality, as its district headquarters, covers an area of and has a population (2011) of 195,159. Chandra Shumsher Jang Bahadur Rana
Field-Marshal Maharaja Sri Teen Chandra Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana (8 July 1863 – 26 November 1929) was the Prime Minister of Nepal from the Rana dynasty. He served in this capacity from 27 June 1901 to his death in 1929, after he successfully deposed his liberal and reformist brother Dev Shamsher JBR, Dev Shamsher. Although generally perceived as despotic and conservative, he is credited with several reforms including the abolition of slavery and the Nepal-Britain Treaty of 1923, which recognized Nepal as an independent nation and an ally of Britain. Maharajadhiraj Prithvi Narayan Shah (1723–1775) ( ne, श्री ५ बडामहाराजाधिराज पृथ्वीनारायण शाह देव) was the last ruler of the Gorkha Kingdom and first monarch of the Kingdom of Nepal (also called ''Kingdom of Gorkha''). Prince Bahadur Shah ( ne, बहादुर शाह) was the youngest son of King Prithvi Narayan Shah of modern Nepal. He became the regent of Nepal for a brief period after the death of his predecessor Queen Rajendra Laxmi of Nepal and accelerated his father's campaign for the conquest of the small and scattered Hindu nations of the Himalayas into Modern day Nepal. Rana Bahadur Shah, King of Nepal ( ne, श्री ५ महाराजाधिराज रण बहादुर शाह देव) (1775–1806) was the King of Nepal from 1777 to 1799. In 1777, he succeeded to the throne after the death of his father, King Pratap Singh Shah. National Heroes of Nepal ( ne, नेपालका राष्ट्रिय विभूतिहरू, translit=Nepalka Rashtriya Bibhutiharu) is a list of 18 Nepali people, that also includes those from ancient and medieval times, who were selected to their ranks posthumously by a commission headed by famous writer Balkrishna Sama who was appointed by the King Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev, in 1955.
