Jay Hoffman (soccer)
James Arthur Hoffman Jr. (born January 15, 1951) is an American soccer coach and former player. He is currently Director of Coaching - Academy for the Virginia Rush. Playing career High school and college Hoffman attended Conrad Weiser Middle School where he played polo, soccer and baseball, graduating in 1968. He then attended East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania playing four seasons of soccer from 1968 to 1971. He continued to attend East Stroudsbourg, working as an assistant coach until he attained his undergraduate (1972. He later earned a master's degree in Physical Education and Recreation in 1977. Professional Hoffman played professionally in the Canadian National Soccer League. Conrad Weiser High School
Conrad Weiser High School is a public high school in Robesonia in Berks County, Pennsylvania. It is part of the Conrad Weiser Area School District and serves students in grades 9– 12 in South Heidelberg Township, Heidelberg Township, North Heidelberg Township, and Marion Township and the boroughs of Wernersville, Robesonia, and Womelsdorf. Virginia Beach Mariners
The Virginia Beach Mariners were an American football (soccer), soccer club, who formerly played in the USL First Division of the United Soccer Leagues, the second division in the US Soccer hierarchy behind Major League Soccer. On March 30, 2007 the team folded due to lack of ownership. The Mariners played at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex in Virginia Beach, Virginia, from 1999 up to their demise in 2007. The team was founded in 1994 as the ''Hampton Roads Hurricanes'', but they changed their name to Mariners after the first year. USL First Division
The USL First Division (usually referred to as USL-1) was a professional men's soccer league in the United States and Canada from 2005 to 2010. The Houston Hurricanes were a soccer club that competed in the United Soccer Leagues from 1996 to 2000. Description and history The Hurricanes were a Division III (D-3) franchise, and their Major League Soccer affiliation was with the Kansas City Wizards owned by Joseph "Joey" Marc Serralta Ives and family making him the first Puerto Rican to own a professional sports franchise in the United States.
