Jawbreaker (band)
Jawbreaker is an American punk rock band active from 1986 to 1996, and again since 2017. The band is considered to be extremely influential to the 1990s emo and punk genre with their "poetic take on hardcore." A number of rock critics have cited Jawbreaker as the best punk rock band of the 1990s. Lead vocalist and guitarist Blake Schwarzenbach, bassist Chris Bauermeister, and drummer Adam Pfahler formed the band while students at New York University, later relocating to Los Angeles where they released their debut album '' Unfun'' (1990) through independent record label Shredder Records. Relocating again to San Francisco the next year, they released 1992's '' Bivouac'' through the Tupelo Recording Company and The Communion Label. Schwarzenbach's charisma and personal, frustrated lyrics helped establish him as a cult idol, even as he underwent surgery to remove painful, voice-threatening polyps from his throat. Fillmore Auditorium (Denver)
The Fillmore Auditorium (often known as The Fillmore Denver) is a concert venue located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood in Denver, Colorado. Since opening in 1907, the venue has hosted numerous functions both private and public. It holds the title of the largest indoor venue for general admission seating in Colorado. The venue also holds an exclusive dual Minors with Adults Liquor License in Colorado for a private venue; it allows minors and consumers over 21 to stand together, rather than having to be separated by their ages. Mastering, a form of audio post production, is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device (the master), the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication). In recent years digital masters have become usual, although analog masters—such as audio tapes—are still being used by the manufacturing industry, particularly by a few engineers who specialize in analog mastering. Whysall Lane
Whysall Lane was an American indie rock band based in San Francisco whose music combines elements of 1990s indie rock and classic rock with lyrics inspired by romantic obsession. The band's members were Richard Baluyut, Mikel Delgado and Adam Pfahler. History Whysall Lane was originally conceived as an acoustic solo side project for Versus singer/guitarist Richard Baluyut to perform Versus songs, original material, the occasional Depeche Mode cover version, and Filipino folk songs. Whysall Lane became Richard's main musical outlet in 2001 after Versus temporarily disbanded. Dear You
''Dear You'' is the fourth and final studio album by American punk rock band Jawbreaker, released on September 12, 1995 by DGC Records, their first and only release on a major label. The band broke up after the release. Singer/guitarist Blake Schwarzenbach underwent surgery on his vocal cords shortly before the recording of ''Dear You''. Containing much less raspy vocals, the record had higher production values compared to the band's previous albums. Schwarzenbach later confirmed that the move to DGC was necessary for the band to stay around, as they had been on the verge of breaking up. ''24 Hour Revenge Therapy'' is the third studio album by American punk rock band Jawbreaker, released on February 7, 1994, through Tupelo Recording Company and Communion Label. Before the release of their second studio album '' Bivouac'' (1992), frontman Blake Schwarzenbach developed a polyp on his vocal chords. While on tour in Europe, he went to a hospital; upon returning to the United States, the band took up day jobs. Recording sessions for their next album were held at Steve Albini's house in Chicago, Illinois across three days in May 1993. While on tour, they listened to tapes they made of the sessions; Schwarzenbach was unhappy with the recordings. Three songs were subsequently recorded in a single day at Brilliant in San Francisco, California in August 1993 with Billy Anderson. In anatomy, a polyp is an abnormal growth of tissue projecting from a mucous membrane. If it is attached to the surface by a narrow elongated stalk, it is said to be ''pedunculated''; if it is attached without a stalk, it is said to be ''sessile''. A cult following refers to a group of fans who are highly dedicated to some person, idea, object, movement, or work, often an artist, in particular a performing artist, or an artwork in some medium. The lattermost is often called a cult classic. A film, book, musical artist, television series, or video game, among other things, is said to have a cult following when it has a small but very passionate fanbase. ''Bivouac'' is the second studio album by American punk rock band Jawbreaker, released on Tupelo Recording Company and Communion Records in 1992 on CD, LP and cassette. In contrast to their later albums which were entirely written by Schwarzenbach, ''Bivouac'' has been described as Jawbreaker's "most collaborative" album; the songs "Sleep", "P.S. New York is Burning", and "Like a Secret" were written "in full or in part" by bassist Chris Bauermeister, while "Parabola" was a collaborative effort between all three band members. The tracks "You Don't Know..." and "Pack It Up" are covers.
