Jawad Bendaoud
Jawad Bendaoud (born 30 August 1986) is a French criminal convicted of harboring some of the terrorists involved in the November 2015 Paris attacks, including the mastermind of the attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud. Bendaoud was sentenced to four years in prison in March 2019 for harboring Abaaoud and Chakib Akrouh, one of the other terrorists involved in the attacks. Bendaoud had previously been acquitted of the charges in February 2018. In August 2019, he was sentenced to an additional six months in prison for verbally assaulting a prison guard. Prior to the attacks, Bendaoud already had an extensive criminal history. In 2006 he killed his best friend, David, who tried to break up a fight. Bendaoud was accusing another friend of stealing his cellphone. He was later sentenced to eight years in prison for voluntary manslaughter (out of which he only served six). November 2015 Paris Attacks
The November 2015 Paris attacks () were a series of coordinated Islamist terrorist attacks that took place on Friday, 13 November 2015 in Paris, France, and the city's northern suburb, Saint-Denis. Beginning at 9:15p.m., three suicide bombers struck outside the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, during an international football match, after failing to gain entry to the stadium. Another group of attackers then fired on crowded cafés and restaurants in Paris, with one of them also detonating an explosive, killing himself in the process. A third group carried out another mass shooting and took hostages at an Eagles of Death Metal concert attended by 1,500 people in the Bataclan theatre, leading to a stand-off with police. Abdelhamid Abaaoud
Abdelhamid Abaaoud ( ar, عبد الحميد ابعود, ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd ʾAbā ʿŪd; 8 April 1987 – 18 November 2015) was a Belgian-born Islamic terrorist who had spent time in Syria. He was suspected of having organized multiple terror attacks in Belgium and France, and is known to have masterminded the November 2015 Paris attacks. Prior to the Paris attacks, there was an international arrest warrant issued for Abaaoud for his activities in recruiting individuals to Islamic terrorism in Syria. 2015 Saint-Denis Raid
The 2015 Saint-Denis raid was a police raid which became a shootout between at least one hundred French police and soldiers and suspected members of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis, Seine-Saint-Denis, Saint-Denis. Following the November 2015 Paris attacks, French police identified Abdelhamid Abaaoud as the suspected mastermind of the attacks. After learning that a relative of Abaaoud might be located in Saint-Denis, police organised surveillance of and ultimately an assault on the location. The raid occurred in the morning of 18 November 2015, five days after the Paris attacks.
