Javier Moreno (cyclist)
Javier Moreno Bazán (born 18 July 1984) is a Spanish professional cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Continental team . Prior to this, Moreno has also competed for the , , , and teams. Career Moreno was born in Jaén. In 2009, Moreno won the third annual Criterium Ciudad de Jaén race, an unofficial two-day competition held during the off-season of the UCI World Tour circuit. Moreno was named in the start list for the 2016 Giro d'Italia, but abandoned the race on Stage 7. After five years with Movistar, in September 2016 Moreno announced that he would join for the 2017 season, with a role as a domestique for Vincenzo Nibali and with his main focus for the season being the Giro d'Italia. At the Giro d'Italia, he was disqualified on stage 4 of the race, after pushing Diego Rosa. In June 2017, he was named in the startlist for the Tour de France. 2016 Tour Of Britain
The 2016 Tour of Britain was a nine-stage men's professional road cycling race. It was the thirteenth running of the modern version of the Tour of Britain and the 76th British tour in total. The race started on 4 September in Glasgow and finished on 11 September in London. Domestique
In road bicycle racing, a domestique is a rider who works for the benefit of their team and leader, rather than trying to win the race. In French, ''domestique'' translates as "servant".However, in French, the term used is ''équipier''. In Italy and Spain, the term used is ''gregario'' (meaning "soldier of the Roman legions" or "one of the group", seetymology. In Belgium and the Netherlands the term ''knecht'' (meaning "servant" or "helper" in Dutch) is used. The use of the term dates back to 1911, although such riders had existed before then. Diego Rosa (born 27 March 1989) is an Italian former racing cyclist, who ccompeted as a professional from 2013 to 2022. He rode in nine Grand Tours and was victorious in the 2015 Milano–Torino. Career In August 2014, announced that they had signed Rosa for the 2015 season, with general manager Alexander Vinokourov highlighting his role as a domestique for Fabio Aru. His first professional victory was the 2015 Milano–Torino. In 2016, he won a mountain stage of the Tour of the Basque Country. He celebrated his solo win by stepping off his bike and crossing the finish line by foot, holding his bicycle in the air. Rosa has competed in eight Grand Tours.
