Javier Calderón
Javier Calderón Alfaro (born 20 November 1971) is a Mexican former professional boxer who competed from 1993 to 1998. As an amateur, he competed in the men's bantamweight event at the 1992 Summer Olympics. Professional boxing, or prizefighting, is regulated, sanctioned boxing. Professional boxing bouts are fought for a purse that is divided between the boxers as determined by contract. Most professional bouts are supervised by a regulatory authority to guarantee the fighters' safety.
