Career After beginning his career as a fitness coach, Arce was named manager of José Gálvez FBC, José Gálvez in March 2012, in the place of Wilmar Valencia. He then coached Defensor San Alejandro (two times), Unión Comercio (two times), Universidad Técnica de Cajamarca, UTC, Sport Loreto, Unión Huaral, Deportivo Garcilaso, Comerciantes Unidos, Escuela Municipal Deportivo Binacional, Binacional (two times), Cusco FC, Cusco, Atlético Grau and Sport Huancayo. With Binacional he won the 2019 Liga 1 (Peru), 2019 Apertura title. Ica, Peru
Ica () (Quechua: ''Ika'') is a city and the capital of the Department of Ica in southern Peru. While the area was long inhabited by varying cultures of indigenous peoples, the Spanish ''conquistador'' Jerónimo Luis de Cabrera claimed its founding in 1563. As of the 2017 census, it had a population of over 282,407. The city suffered extensive damage and loss of life during the 2007 Peru earthquake. Location The city is located on the Ica River about to the south of Lima, along the desert coast of southern Peru. Further south along the Pan-American Highway lies the city of Nazca. History In 2007, researchers found the fossil remains of a prehistoric penguin, ''Icadyptes salasi'', which inhabited the Atacama Desert about 30 million years ago. Wilmar Valencia
Wilmar Elar Valencia Pacheco (born 27 October 1961) is a Peruvian football manager and former player who played as a central defender. Playing career Born Camaná, Valencia started playing for Coronel Bolognesi. In 1982, he moved to Alianza Lima, where he played regularly until 1987, when he joined Honduran side Atlético Marte. Valencia returned to Alianza Lima in 1988, but moved to Bolivian side Blooming in the following year. In 1990, he rejoined Alianza Lima for a third spell, before ending his professional career at the age of 33 in 1994. In 2001, he returned to action with lowly Aurora Chancayllo, but retired in the same year. In an international figure, Valencia played 14 times for the Peru national team between 1984 and 1989, also being a part of the squad in the 1989 Copa América. 2019 Liga 1 (Peru)
The 2019 Liga 1 de Fútbol Profesional (known as the 2019 Liga 1 Movistar for sponsorship reasons) was the 103rd season of the highest division of Peruvian football. A total of 18 teams competed in the season, with Sporting Cristal coming in as defending champions. Binacional were the champions, winning their first league title by defeating Alianza Lima in the finals by a 4–3 aggregate score. Competition format The season will be divided into three stages: Torneo Apertura, Torneo Clausura, and the Playoffs. The first and second stages will be two smaller Apertura and Clausura tournaments of 17 games each. Each team will play the other teams once during the Apertura tournament and once during the Clausura tournament in reversed order for a total of 34 matches.
