Jason Morris (drummer)
Jason Newth Morris (born February 3, 1967) is an American retired judoka. He was a four-time Olympian and 2008 Olympic Coach, is best known for winning the silver medal in the 78 kg weight category in the 1992 Summer Olympics and a Bronze Medal in the 1993 World Judo Championships. He is a Hachidan (8th Degree Black Belt) his favorite techniques are Uchi Mata, Tai Otoshi, and his "Sticker or Sticky Foot" (AKA Kosotogari). Achievements Morris was the Silver Medallist at -78 kg in the 1992 Summer Olympics, and was also a Bronze Medalist at the 1993 World Judo Championships. Morris represented the United States in four Olympic Games 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000 & was Team USA Olympic Coach at the 2008 Games. Schenectady, New York
Schenectady () is a city in Schenectady County, New York, United States, of which it is the county seat. As of the 2020 census, the city's population of 67,047 made it the state's ninth-largest city by population. The city is in eastern New York, near the confluence of the Mohawk and Hudson rivers. It is in the same metropolitan area as the state capital, Albany, which is about southeast. Schenectady was founded on the south side of the Mohawk River by Dutch colonists in the 17th century, many of whom came from the Albany area. The name "Schenectady" is derived from the Mohawk word ''skahnéhtati'', meaning "beyond the pines" and used for the area around Albany, New York. Residents of the new village developed farms on strip plots along the river. Travis Stevens
Travis Stevens (born February 28, 1986) is an American judoka and Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner who competed in the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Summer Olympics. He competes in the men's half-middleweight (−81 kg) division. On August 9, 2016, Stevens became the third American male judoka to win a silver medal in the Olympics. Career An early start at the age of 6 enabled him to acquire a vast amount of knowledge in Judo and other martial arts. Travis is an outstanding athlete in the disciplines of Judo and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and holds many accomplishments in both. He is currently ranked number 12 in the world in the −81 kg weight class by the International Judo Federation (as of 9 August 2016). Nicholas Delpopolo
Nicholas Delpopolo (born February 8, 1989) is an American judoka. He competed in the men's 73 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics; after defeating Cheung Chi Yip in the second round and Dirk Van Tichelt in the third, he lost to Wang Ki-Chun in the fourth round and was eliminated by Nyam-Ochir Sainjargal in the repechages. On August 6, 2012, Delpopolo was expelled from the Olympics by the IOC after he tested positive for cannabis. Upon exiting the games, Delpopolo stated the positive test result was caused by "inadvertent consumption of food that I did not realize had been baked with marijuana, before I left for the Olympic Games." On August 9, 2016, Delpopolo competed again at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the men's 73 kg event, defeating Ahmed Goumar (Niger) in the first round, Odbayar Ganbaatar (Mongolia) in the second round, and ultimately losing to Miklós Ungvári (Hungary) in the Quarter-finals by penalty points. Bradford Bolen (born January 22, 1989, in River Forest, Illinois) is a judoka from United States. He was in group of 2012 Olympic hopefuls. His current biggest success is winning Pan American Judo Championships in 2010 where he stunned the international field of 66 kg players by winning automatically, only after his opponents were disqualified and not even allowed to compete.
