Jason Brian Carter (born 23 September 1960) is an English actor, best known for his role as Ranger Marcus Cole on the science fiction television series ''Babylon 5''. Born in Ealing, London and brought up in Gainsborough, a small market-town in Lincolnshire, Carter appeared on stage since he was a child. Advised to pursue a career in rubber technology, Carter opted instead for three years at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. In 1982, he landed his first television role on BBC2’s long-running ''Jackanory Playhouse'' (1965–1996) as Hawkwing. He has appeared in numerous television series including ''Viper'', ''Beverly Hills, 90210'', '' 3rd Rock from the Sun'', ''Charmed'', ''Angel'' and ''Babylon 5''. Jason Carter (Australian Footballer)
Jason Carter (born 11 January 2000) is an Australian rules footballer who played for the Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Football career Originally from the small town of Wyndham in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, he played a few colts games for Claremont in 2017 whilst attending school at Aquinas College, Perth. He also played for Western Australia at the 2016 Under 16 National Championships, where he was named in the All-Australian team. He was selected to play in the 2017 AFL Under 18 Championships but injured his knee during a trial game and was unable to compete. He was then invited to join Fremantle's Next Generation Academy at the beginning of 2018, and switched to play for Fremantle's affiliate team, Peel Thunder. Jason Carter is an American Bluegrass music, bluegrass musician who plays fiddle. He is best known for his work with the Del McCoury Band and the Travelin' McCourys. Biography Jason Carter was born in Ashland, Kentucky on February 1, 1973. At the age of 8 he started playing guitar. He picked up the mandolin a few years later. He started playing fiddle at age 16 after hearing Del McCoury for the first time. Following high school graduation in 1991, he joined The Goins Brothers, who he played with for six-months. During his time with the Goins Brothers, at a show in Nashville, Tennessee with Del McCoury, Carter approached McCoury and asked him for a job in his band. After a brief-tour that served as his audition, Carter was hired. He has been with the Del McCoury Band ever since. He has played with the Travelin' McCourys since their formation in 2009. Carter played college football at Texas A&M. Early years As a senior at Caldwell High School, Carter threw for 1,087 yards and rushed for 599 as a quarterback. College career Carter played at Texas A&M as a QB/WR from the 2002–2005 seasons. During his four seasons on the team he had 6 receiving TDs and 5 rushing TDs.
