Jason Baerg
Jason Baerg (born 1970) is a visual artist, media producer and educator who works in drawing, painting, film and new media. He is a member of the Métis Nation of Ontario and developed and implemented the national Metis arts program for the Vancouver Olympics (2010). Baerg lives and works in Toronto. Career Baerg was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He graduated from Concordia University in Montreal with a Bachelors of Fine Arts and received a Masters of Fine Arts from Rutgers University. He taught at Rutgers University (2014-2016) and served as an adjunct instructor at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico (Fall of 2016). He is an assistant professor in Indigenous Practices, Contemporary Painting & Media Art at OCAD, Toronto. Concordia University ( French: ''Université Concordia'') is a public research university located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Founded in 1974 following the merger of Loyola College and Sir George Williams University, Concordia is one of the three universities in Quebec where English is the primary language of instruction (the others being McGill and Bishop's).
